Korea Town Recs

Although living in Manhattan for over 10 years, I'm only now venturing to Korea town to eat. Any recommendations on restaurants and specific dishes (I'm not very familiar with Korean food)? Thanks!

Looking for roti in Santa Barbara

If you find anything I would love to know about it. My mom is West Indian and since I moved here from the East Coast last fall, I haven't had a single bite of West Indian food! My grandma makes a kickass roti. Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to learn how to make it for myself!

Sauteed Mushrooms?

Tonight I'm planning to saute a generous heap of button and shitake with tons of shallots, some garlic, butter, marsala and sausage and then toss with pasta. Lots of black pepper and grated romano on top.

What's Your Secret Ingredient?

A favorite of mine that hasn't been mentioned: Lawry's seasoning salt. It's salty and sweet and interesting in the place of salt. Though to really do it justice, it should sprinkled over popcorn or other starchy, fresh out of the oil fried treats.

Where can I find sticky toffee pudding?

I had an amazing toffee bread pudding at the Morrel Wine Bar at Rockfeller Center (also has a HUGE menu of wines by the glass).

Restaurants in or near Chelsea

I just moved out of Chelsea a month ago. I always enjoyed Le Singe Vert on 7th and 18th. It's a French bistro. They cram people in and the music is too loud, but it's great for mussels, steak frites and other tasty things. I also second Red Cat. And for breakfast, Murray's Bagels on 8th btwn 22nd and 23rd (though it's tough to get a table).

Adding egg to your oatmeal?

That sounds amazing. I'll have to try it next time I want a quick, warm and comforting dinner.

Adding egg to your oatmeal?

I'm currently on an oatmeal kick. I've been eating McCann's Irish oatmeal with just a pinch of salt and a splash of maple syrup, but I remember somewhere reading about adding an egg to make the oatmeal even more tasty. I couldn't turn up anything helpful on Google, so has anyone out there tried this?

Thanks!!!
