Cheap italian for a large group of 15+ college students
Def Sotto Cinque. Went there recently with a group and had a great time. The prices were low for drinks and food!

Garage is a good jazz spot. Its on the west side, walkable. See who is playing at blue note if you plan on going there. Garage has food too. For food, I really like Ippudo for really good quality ramen. Or Piola, a brazilian pizza restaurant that is really lively and has a live band some nights.

Astoria is def a great place to eat!
Bistro 33 has a 2 for 10 appetizer special tuesdays and wednesdays.
Also, there is the arepas cafe where you can do take out or delivery
but I've eaten there and the owner is really down to earth and friendly
Hours for Palacio de los Cholados?
Does anyone know the hours for 'el palacio de los cholados' over on Northern Boulevard? I want to hike over and grab one when I get off work but I'm never sure how late they're open. Thanks!
Where to donate cookies?
Drop in and Decorate is when you bake a bunch of cookies, get people together to decorate them and donate the cookies to a shelter, food pantry, senior center etc. Its gained some serious momentum since I've seen it on so many food blogs. I want to start one for thanksgiving but can anyone help me find a place that will accept them? I live in Queens, so anywhere in the boroughs would be great!
