new butcher in Asheville
I've watched Heston Blumenthal and others talk about how ground brisket makes a great hamburger, so I went in today and asked about it. She said, "I just got a steer in so I can get you anything you want." I happily left with ground brisket to experiment with. I can't wait to try it soon.
new butcher in Asheville
I generally eat grass-fed, but I tried some grain-finished fillet and it was really, really good.
I think, between my wife and I, we've now been there four times since they opened last Wednesday ...

The Chop Shop has opened in Asheville. http://www.chopshopbutchery.com
It features local meats and the stuff I've gotten there so far has been great.
New Indian Restaurant South Asheville?
I've been to Cinnamon Kitchen twice now and the food has been great both times. The naan is better than great. Best Indian food I've ever had in Asheville or anywhere else.
PARRIS ISLAND
I would hit the Shrimp Shack and this place: http://www.11thstreetdockside.com/

Replacing Old Cookware--Recommendations Needed!
How would tri-ply Winco pans from my local restaurant supply store compare to those?
Asheville, NC-lunch
I agree. You can't go wrong with either one. I think they are two of the best in town.
Rita's Cantina Asheville?
My wife and I just had two really nice plates of Mexican food for lunch ($13 total) at El Pauncho Gringo on Hwy 70 just as you are getting close to Swannanoa. Everything tasted fresh and it wasn't greasy and overly cheesy like lots of cheap Mexican. We'd been meaning to stop in there and I'm really glad we finally did. It is now our favorite Mexican place (we also like Curras Dom but we live too far away to make it a habit).

I love the meat from Hickory Nut Gap. http://www.hickorynutgapfarm.com
Savannah & Charleston Eats
I really, really like FIG, but I think my wife likes Fulton Five a little bit better
Asheville wedding sites?
I got married at this bed & breakfast in Hendersonville: http://www.melangebb.com/weddings/
The grounds are very nice, with several possible locations for the ceremony (depending on size). The food was great too.
Asheville Food Scene -- What does it need?
Does anyone know what new restaurant is coming to town? Matt Mittan on WWNC is teasing it and says he ate at the restaurant in Charlotte today.
