[DFW] Fort Worth – Fuzzy’s Taco Shop (Mexican) Review

Fuzzys is great. The original is on Berry just east of university, with a new location on race street in east Fort Worth. Try the tempura fish tacos, the shrimp quesadilla, and the guacamole & queso . The fish tacos have a bit of feta cheese on top of them that is different, but good. looks like I found what's for dinner.

Good times,
Blake

Tasty mid-range in Ft. Worth?

A block or two west of Angelo's on white settlement is Jack's off the wall. It's been there about a year and offers a relaxed atmosphere and great food.

Cream Liquors in freezer

I kept a bottle of Amarula in my freezer for a little while. It didn't freeze solid, but it did get some really interesting ice chips in it that were pretty cool. I remember drinking it straight out of the freezer or mixed with a bit of cognac.

Kajmar, Kajimar Question.

I recently had a drink in an airport Bar in Orlando that I believe was a Brandy based liquer with strong warm vanilla tones. I can't remember the exact name of it to save my life, but I believe it was called Kajmir or Kajimar. Anyone have any ideas what I'm looking for or am I hopeless?

Thanks Much,
Blake

NE Tarrant secrets

I have lived in NRH all my life and I still go to Fort worth for good grub, though Grapevine/Southlake has some good stuff now as well.
That said, I highly recommend checking out the following:

Jack's off the Wall
http://www.jacksoffthewall.com/
White settlement road just west of Angelos Barbecue
all kinds of good stuff here, including a grilled Meat loaf that is the Best I have ever had (sorry Mom

)

Bombay grill
Located on Hulen just south of I-30 (behind Central Mkt)
Excellent Indian food, I am partial to the Chicken Tikka Marsala as well as the Naan bread.

Fuzzy's Tacos
www.fuzzystacoshop.com
just south of TCU campus off of University
Excellent Tempura fish tacos and Shrimp quesadillas, interesting atmosphere if a bit loud at times

Mimi's Cafe
In Grapevine on Hwy 26 just south of 114
Chain restaurant, French/cajun influenced menu, excellent baked goods. I've never had a bad meal here.

Hope this helps,

Good times,
Blake

Dark 'n' Stormy

I have found Reed's brand Ginger beer to be very good both in cocktails and on it's own. I enjoy the premium variety mixed with blended or Rye Whiskey.
