Great Lebanese in Scranton... YES, SCRANTON

Savory Maza at 200 North Main in Scranton's West Side is one of the best Lebanese restaurants in the country. YES, the country. Simple, food focused place, you won't beat it.

Bus. Lunch/Dinner Baltimore Waterfront

I have a party of about 17 that I need to arrange 2 lunches and 2 dinners for in the Waterfront/Alliceanna St. area. We're staying at the Waterfront Marriot. I need the lunches to be fairly quick (1 - 1.5 hours) and reasonable. For the dinner - price is not such an issue, but seating for a large party is.

Also, I'd love a crab place, since they are all from out of the area.

Special Burger Place

Last year I went to this divey burger place somewhere around 11th & 53rd, but I could be off a few blocks in either direction. It was long and narrow, they served burgers with a zillion different toppings, chicken breast sandwiches, NO FRIES, just chips, and milk shakes. That was it. It was awesome and cheap, and looked like it had been there a while. Does anyone know what it's called??

Finally, a restaurant to rave about near Scranton...

OK, so it's in a strip mall, and not overly romantic, although the owners did their best with the space they have, but the food at Basilico's in Dickson City is some of the best Italian I've ever had.

Their pizza is what they're known for, and it's fantastic, but if you sit in the back room where table service is available, and order lliterally any pasta on the menu, you'll be happy. The homemade minestrone is so good I can't help ordering it, even when I swear to myself on the way in that I'll try something else for an appetizer. The Calamari Fra Diavlo is perfect, and cheap ($11)! Last night I had Cavetelli Rosso - perfect. The marinara is the best, and even the dinner rolls are fantastic. It's BYOB, and really inexpensive, and the best food I've had since moving to the area a year ago.

Financial District Dinner?

Couldn't get into Ecco one night so tried Acappella - 1 Hudson St. Once I got past the over the top Sopranos cast running the place, I thought the food was excellent.

The place was FREEZING - ceiling fans etc., so take your coat. But I thought the food was terrific.

Financial District Dinner?

I'm staying at the Hilton Millenium - never hang out that far down. Is there anywhere great for dinner - doesn't have to be RIGHT there. Will walk many blocks or cab it, but somewhere in lower Manhattan near that area? Like all sorts of food, ethnic, whatever. Just special is all I ask for.

Wolfgangs

This may have already been a topic, but I'm only in town on a monthly basis. I went there last year and thought it was pretty good. I just read a lot of scathing reviews on New York Restaurants. Anyone been there recently and can comment - was going to drag the boyfriend there next trip.

Rockefeller Ctr - Help

Went to Le Benardin last time I was in town. Fabulous food and service. Honestly, a little quiet for my rowdy crowd, but the food was wonderful, and the wine.

Lunch in Nanuet

Any suggestions? Anything special - I love all food.

Lunch in Atlantic City

Thanks for the referral - it was quiet and a good place to meet. An odd, rigid menu. The bean soup was excellent, the salad subpar. I'm sure it's a landmark, but I didn't love it.

Oh, I meant near Rockefeller Ctr. not in it. Thanks. And, not Labor day - couple of weeks out.

Desperate for good sushi

I travel all over the country and eat Sushi everywhere. Hands down the best I've ever had is Kabuki in King of Prussia. It's easy to miss past the mall on the same side of DeKalb Pike, but it's the best.

Desperate for good sushi

Sapporo East in Mechanicsburg is the only sushi place in Central PA I found that was good. For other food, I like California cafe - a little too whimsical sometimes, but I've had plenty of great food there.

Good Sushi and other restaurants in Harrisburg (Near Widener Law School)?

The only good sushi I found in all of central pa in my 3 years there was Sapporo East in Mechanicsburg. I disagree on Mangia Qui - prefer that restaurant in the old Fire House (can't remember the name).

Somewhere good for a biz. dinner Monday night. Price isn't so important, just something with GREAT food and at least good atmosphere.

Lunch in Atlantic City

Need a fairly quiet-ish place to have a business meeting with a colleague. Price range doesn't matter - ethnic or diner is fine - just as long as the chow is good.
