Scottsdale Table for 10 please!!

we love AdC in NYC...that might be an option. I'd rather pick something more "local", but in terms of serving 10 people on a holiday...sounds ideal. THANKS!!

Wow you get a gold-STAR!! We thought of Cowboy Ciao as well... Her 2 sets of friends (college and here locally) are each planning a "night out" our night has to be tops...I'd love a table in a wine cellar or something slightly ostentacious like that...any ideas??

Dear Fellow Hounds,

I am planning a memorial-day Bachelorette excursion for my friend. There will be 10 of us. We are staying at the Valley -Ho for 3 nights and will need AWESOME dining rec's for all 3 nights. We have transportation, but will take preference for close proximity... but needless to say I'd drive to Detroit for an awesome meal.

I have a couple ideas, but want memorable.

Mosaic? yes/no? details.
Zinc Bistro? "

excited about trying Kazimierz World Wine bar...as long as i don't have to type it into my GPS.

Thanks!!!!

Sunset Da Mona Lisa - Cabo

The meal, service and ambiance were excellent. Not excellent was the drive to get there. They're demolishing the old Missiones Hotel and lets say it was a little "touch & go" getting there.

I had a marvelous main... shrimp coated in a lime herb marinade the perfectly grilled atop a trufle risoto.

Sunset Da Mona Lisa - Cabo

looking for opinions on this Restaurant, which I've eaten at when it was Da Giorgio's.

It'll be my Mom's BDAY dinner...and she's a bigger food/restaurant snob than me!!

what do you eat/or prepare straight from the can, jar, package, etc.. that is perfect just as it is as a meal or snack? ?

not a single person has mentioned ice cream. Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia please.

pickled okra straight from the jar...don't mind the juice that just dripped from my fingers down my forearm and onto the hardwood floors...(this can also apply to cherry peppers...)

The black bean soup in a can that comes from Mexico...can be doctored if desired...

Pace picante sauce...i could eat it with a spoon...

CEREAL

...it's so sad that i could keep going...

Gumbo - Okra: Yea or nay

okra gumbo is a side dish...a veggie per say (an equivalent to east texas okra and tomatoes)....and NOLA seafood gumbo is a "course". I think okra gumbo is great along side pork tenderloin, but never as a dish by itself. like dishing up mashed potatos and serving them without a main...sort of akward.

Gumbo - Okra: Yea or nay

Depends on what your idea of gumbo is....if it's light tan in color and thick than yes go for okra...but if you invision a broth as dark as a hershey bar and thin as a soup than NO. okra gumbo and "new orleans seafood" gumbo are 2 total different creatures...

Going to Seattle for the weekend ,looking for suggestions for dinner .

if you have a car...and don't mind going out of city center i'd suggest the stumbling goat bistro...by far the best restaurant.

Cabo San Lucas

Don't waste your time at Edith's. It was great 10 years ago...now it's on a downward spiral.

mi cocina at casa natalia is the best restaurant in San Jose.

in cabo i'd definitely try niki-san...amazing sushi.

2 nights on SOBE

My partner and I will be in SOBE for 2 nights before heading down to Key West. so my question is this...if you just had 2 nights in SOBE where would you eat?? We will be there during Miami spice...so we'd like to try something from that...but up for anything unique to MIA/SOBE. Also, looking something in walking/short cab ride from 8th & Collins...

Thanks Hounds!!

Stonehorse Cafe and Market -- New York quality food in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Tulsa is a hard place to get a great meal...but it's out there.

Try Tucci's on cherry Street. Good food & setting...GREAT Bartender.

The Palace cafe is good...also on Cherry street (right on the corner of peoria & 15th. )

Mahogany is the best steak in town.

Need help from any Tulsa, OK hounds out there!

not sure if i've reached you in time...

tell the MIL there's a good english pub at S. 71St....it's called the white lion.

the Palace Cafe on the corner of 15th & Peoria has a good brunch.

a local must is the Brook on Brookside...it's an old movie theatre...not high cuisine by any means.

now through Oct there is a Saturday morning farmer's market at Cherry Street.

best italian food in Tulsa is Tucci's on 15th.

enjoy!!
