This recipe grossly underestimates the amount of time it takes to prepare it. Following the directions exactly, (I put dried beans straight into the pot for 1 hour) the beans were nowhere near done and I had to put it on the stovetop to cook way longer. It should have you presoak the beans at least. The supposed 25 min. "active" time is really more like 1-1 1/2 hours. I mean, how are you supposed to chop everything (15 min.), brown meat (15 min.), cook vegetables and reduce wine (30 min.) in 25 min. exactly???
