Sunday "London-y" dinner for 6 including two 13-year-old girls?

Thanks for the recommendations. Instead of Sunday dinner, we ended up going to Fish! for lunch in Borough Market which was perfect. We all had fun exploring the food stalls and then sitting down for fish and chips in the buzzy restaurant.

Sunday "London-y" dinner for 6 including two 13-year-old girls?

Where to take family from Miami, FL for dinner on Sunday? They are staying in South Ken and I live in Belsize Park. Their only request is 'something London-y and casual' at 7pm but I don't think my current favourite - Kalendar - will suit. Any ideas for a central, low-key place with a bit of character?

Montreal birthday dinner... for a vegetarian!?

Thanks for the help. I have also been directed to try Kitchenette. The online menu seemed to have several vegetarian options.

Montreal birthday dinner... for a vegetarian!?

I'm surprising my husband with a weekend in Montreal for his 40th and need a restaurant for his birthday dinner on Saturday night. We'll be with another couple so I'm looking for something with a fun atmosphere, upscale but not stuffy, and of course very good food. From other reviews it seems Montreal restos are known for foie gras, game, and other meaty delights... but my husband is a fish-eating vegetarian!! What to do?

I've read reviews of Graziella, DNA, Le Locale and Chez L'Epicier. Would those suit us? What else would you recommend for a Saturday night?

Thanks!

Tre on Ludlow, anyone?

I'm entertaining two out-of-towners tomorrow night for a meal in Soho/LES area. Don't want anything too trendy but definitely good food and a casual, nice atmosphere. I came across Tre in opentable. But I can't find any reviews anywhere... Any advice.

Reunion dinner, Sat night, 10 rowdy gals

Hello 'hounds,

It somehow fell onto my plate to find a dinner res for a group of 30-something women foodies who all went to summer camp together 20 years ago. Looking for a place downtown (or at least a downtown fun yet not too hip feel) with good food & wine, a semi-private space or alcove so that if people break into camp songs we won't be a total nuisance. Thoughts?

Thanks,
Dizzy

Pre-Theater Meal Before Grey Gardens ...

Roberto Passon, Osteria al Doge or Maria Pia? We're in the mood for decent Italian in a nice atmosphere before a Friday night curtain next month but don't want to splurge on the meal (already did that on the tickets). Thanks!

Colors tonight - any suggestions?

I'm going with a group of my boyfriends friends to Colors tonight. Since I don't know the others I can't be sure people will be interested in sharing dishes... Any recommendations for ordering?

Bread tribeca vs. Bread (on Spring)?

Thanks for the advice. We ended up at the one on Spring. Although the menu was smaller we found options other than sandwiches -- bruchetta and amazing tomato soup to start, and mushroom ravioli and the special meatballs for entrees finished off by very very good lattes served in jars. The room was small (and a little drafty) but it turned out to be a great option for an early mid-week meal.

Bread tribeca vs. Bread (on Spring)?

I'm seeing a show at the Culture Project's new location at 55 Mercer tonight. In the mood for a mellow Italian meal before an 8pm curtain. Is one Bread restaurant better than the other? They seem about equidistant from the theater. Thanks!

Team lunch in SoHo

I'm organizing a non-corporate team lunch for my Web shop in Soho. We'll be 17 people. Looking for something fun and festive, that won't break the bank. Any thoughts?

50 Carmine or AOC bedford?
