Chimborazo on Central and 29th in Northeast has pollo saltado and lomo saltado. It's Ecuadorian rather than Peruvian, so I don't know if there would be a lot of difference.

Chimborazo in Northeast (Mpls.)

I've eaten at a lot of Latin restaurants in Minneapolis, but I was really enjoyed this new Ecuadorian place on Central. I ordered a soup and half-entree lunch special. The soup was beef and vegetable with dumplings made from plantains. The broth had a subtle peanut flavor, which I wasn't expecting, but it worked. For the entree I got stewed chicken and rice with beans and fried plantain. It was a lot of food for lunch, enough that I was able to take leftovers home for dinner. My friend ordered an appetizer (muchin?) that was a fried, cheese-filled potato-like dumpling. Dipped in some hot sauce, those little dumplings were really nice. He also ordered the roast pork, which came with potatoes and the large white corn. We both said we'd go back to try other things on the menu. As far as South American food goes, this seems to be the real deal.
