Fun restaurant, private room.

Hey everyone, im looking for a private room for a 30th bday party for approx 12 people. So far ive come across Freeman's, Market Table, The Marrow, The spotted pig, Raouls and Toro. Does anyone have any experience with private parties at these places or have other recommendations? Thank you so much for any help!

Anniversary dinner Portland

hello, my wife and I will be in portland for 3 days from nyc in august. We are fairly big foodies and would like to experience portland NW cuisine or something we cant get in nyc. The first night i have a reservation at Roe, is this one of the better seafood spots in town? For our actual anniversary, i was hoping for somewhere with nice ambiance as well as food and it seemed like le pigeon and some of the other hyped places are super casual. Ox looked great but they dont take reservations, and waiting on our anniversary doesnt seem too romantic. I worry about beast as its tasting menus only with no flexibility. Does anyone have any other recommendations. Noisette seemed interesting and they have a small plates menu which is nice in case the tasting menu doesnt appeal to us. Also, with the amount of food i plan to eat that weekend, on the last night a big tasting menu might be the LAST thing i want. Thank you for any help!

Totto Ramen closed by health dept

I went to Totto Ramen tonite around 545, and there was a guy outside saying it was close by the health dept? It seemed like it had just happened as there were a few confused customers outside. Does anyone know more about this? I know they didnt get a good grade but it has always seemed like a great operation to me and they have the best ramen...its certainly disappointing

Thanks guys, im zeroing in on either Nine Ten or Georges for dinner Friday nite, both seem similar and like great choices. And then La Fachada or Cautros Milpas for lunch that day.

For a lunch taco run, what do people recommend? It seems the 3 i come across most frequently are Las Cuatro Milpas, La Fachas and Aqui es Texcoco. Also, its the immediate vicinity of my hotel, Dobson's seems very well reviewed.

I get into San diego on thursday nite on the later side, and want some very close to my hotel (Se San Diego, 5th and C sts) for dinner...Friday I have three meals to plan, preferably breakfast in our neighborhood and then we will be off to the zoo. Lunch can be anywhere between our hotel and the zoo, and dinner can be pretty much anywhere in the city. For dinner, i would like to explore something californian or mexican. We are from new york , and would like to try something that we cant really get in NYC. Does anyone have any recs?

Saturday we will be driving up to Laguna. I know La Jolla, Del Mar and some other nice towns are along the way. Does anyone have a lunch rec for this drive or a must stop spot? Thanks for the help.

Anniversary Dinner in NYC: Marea, A Voce, Corton, or Aldea?

def Marea or Corton, however they are very different, Corton is very modern cuisine and some of it is unusual. Marea is just incredible seafood and seafood pastas from Michael White.

need sunday lunch/early dinner (not brunch) rec

ahhh thanks, we wound up deciding on the purple pig, at first i thought purple pig might be too much like the publican, but in the end i didnt care bc this is actually something we really dont have in new york at the moment (small plate gastropub) We do have some bastions for pork, like the momofukus and the Breslin but for the most part id say that area is lacking...
