Recommendations Sought for Brisket/BBQ in Dallas Area Hi: I'll be coming to Dallas for the first time in 2 weeks. I'm staying in Irving. I'd really appreciate dinner recommendations for top notch BBQ, and most importantly brisket (and to a lesser extent, texas sausage). I don't mind driving 15-20 minutes. I just want the best brisket. Thanks. |

Sakanaya - Great New Japanese Fish Market in Allston Just got back from lunch at Sakanaya. For $16.70, I had fresh sweet shrimp and tuna sashimi (about 3 orders), a toro "bowl" with rice, avocado and scallions, and pieces of Eel, Yellowtail and Fluke sushi. This place is about as authentic as it comes vis-a-vis Japanese markets. Its in Allston at 75 Linden Street, and worthy of a try for anyone who is remotely educated about sushi. The owner used to work at Japan's primary fish market and sells sashimi grade fish for a fraction of what it would cost to eat at a restaurant. Moreover, he'll slice it and provide it in a take out container for you, complete with shredded radish, ginger and wasabi. A really great experience I felt that I had to share. ----- Sakanaya |

Acropolis (New Greek Restaurant) in Needham - Any info? I was just excited to see that a Greek Restaurant called "Acropolis" appears to be opening in Needham. I love Greek food. Does anyone know anything about this restaurant? (I hope its good b/c its going in a spot that's been bad for restaurants traditionally). Thanks. |

Where can I get good sizzling rice soup in downtown Boston, Newton, Needham or Wellesley? Thanks! |

I went to the Center cafe on its second night. Food was decent (Tuna Burger was excellent), but the service was not surprisingly slow. I'm sure they'll work out the kinks. I'm more excited for Lizzy's Ice Cream (also in Waltham and Cambridge), which is coming where Spasso used to be. This is a very legitimate ice cream store for needham. |

One Meal in Atlanta - Where should I eat? I'll be in Atlanta on Wednesday. I have dinner free. Where is the best restaurant (preferably BBQ) to eat in the city? (I'll have 2 kids with me). If there is a restaurant that's not-BBQ that's so good, I have to try it, I'm open to recommendations. Thanks very much. |

In Need of Reliable Restaurant Recommendations I visited and here are my thoughts: Caplansky's: top notch, smoked real, and as authentic as you can get in Toronto (great slaw too). |

Recommendations for Superb Breakfast Place? Thanks. We don't do brunch really. We get up early and prefer breakfast, so if anyone has good breakfast places (that may serve brunch also), please keep them coming! Thanks. |

Recommendations for Superb Breakfast Place? So what do you recommend then for breakfast? |

Recommendations for Superb Breakfast Place? All: I'll be in Toronto this weekend, staying in Yorkville. What is a great, breakfast place to go to? I'm not looking for a diner with great eggs. I'd be looking for a place that serves great pancakes and/or french toast and/or eccletic stuff. In other words, someplace that I'd be happy to cab to if need be. Thanks! |

In Search of Romantic, Stellar Restaurant Thanks to Everyone. I booked Chiado on Saturday night. I chose it over Mistura. |

In Search of Romantic, Stellar Restaurant Scaramouche is booked, and I have read mixed reviews about Chiado. Any other places? It can be anything but French. Thanks again! |

In Search of Romantic, Stellar Restaurant I'll be in Toronto for my 10th Anniversary with my wife (on a Saturday). We're going to Canoe on Friday night, but I'm looking for another great place to dine on Saturday night, preferably one that's romatic, but more importantly, has top notch cuisine. I couldn't get a reservation at Splendido, and I'm a bit reluctant to take their recommendation for Opus (maybe they have a deal to recommend to each other). Anyone have thoughts? We're not into French food, but love Seafood/Italian/Continental. Thanks! |

In Need of Reliable Restaurant Recommendations Thanks to everyone for the reommendations. I'm going to go to Caplansky's and I wouldn't mind some good Schwarma, so if anyone has thoughts, let me know. |

In Need of Reliable Restaurant Recommendations Hi: My wife and I are traveling to Toronto next weekend. We have 3 nights to eat. One night we're eating at Canoe. However, for the other 2 nights, I'm looking for objective, excellent recommendations for the following cuisine. We're staying in Yorkville, but will go anywhere within a 15 minute drive: 1. Sushi (high quality, fresh sushi) - we live in Boston so if my fellow chowhounds don't think even the best Toronto sushi will as good, please let me know. Thanks so much! |

Summer 2009 openings and closings I called today and they said they hope to be open on June 7 or 8, after they get inspected. I also asked him if it would be the same menu as Schwarma King, and he said "almost the same". |

Simply the Best Hot Dogs in Boston What makes Vienna Beef superior is that their hot dogs include "Bull meat" which is the binder that holds together the hot dog. It's the thing that makes it snap when you bite into it. And the flavor comes from the trimmings. Those trimmings are the fat that's sliced off corned beef and pastrami. |

Simply the Best Hot Dogs in Boston I went to Windy City Eats this morning in Weymouth. An educated hot dog consumer will acknowledge that Chicago Hot Dogs (and in particular, Vienna Beef Hot Dogs) are simply the best quality, finest tasting hot dogs around. The owner of Windy City is directly from Chicago and imports Vienna Beef to Weymouth. I went this morning, after seeing a feature of the restaurant on TV, and can vouch that the Chicago Dog and Char Polish Sausage are fabulous. I have been waiting for a long time for Boston to recognize the supremacy of the Chicago Hot Dog and am incredibly excited that Windy City Eats is only a 30 minute drive from my house! |
