Vegetarian friendly Restaurants in LA
For Thai try Bulan Thai. It is entirely vegetarian but you won't miss the meat. Their soy meat substitutes are very good. They will actually make the food spicy when you ask for it that way. Not just good Veg food, good Thai Food!

Vegetarian friendly Restaurants in LA
Madeline Bistro is not a great option for the non-vegetarians. Also tends to be expensive. This is a great place for Vegans but skip it otherwise.
LATE NIGHT DINING
The Spanish Kitchen is not 24/7. I've sat outside waiting for them to open for lunch at 11 am.

Vegetarian Restaurants in Austin?
Thanks so much. Haven't spent any time in Texas before and wasn't sure what to expect. Really looking forward to good food and good music!
Any Indian food?
Thanks again!
Vegetarian Restaurants in Austin?
Will be traveling to Austin in about 3 weeks to help some friends who are moving there from Los Angeles. Ned some Vegetarin and Veg-friendly restaurant recs. Eggs and Dairy are o.k.
Thanks for the help!!!!
Moving to the Valley, what's good?- Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys
Try Jinky's on Ventura at Hazeltine for breakfast, great crunchy french toast. Irelands 32 on Burbank at Woodman is a good place for some music and a drink but the food at the Robin Hood a block a way is better.
Skip Casa Vega. Overpriced, mediocre food and drink and even worse service.
A little further away, the Hummus Bar in Tarzana is great!

Best chocolates in LA?
www.tifachocolates.com
This lovely store in Agoura imports chocolate bars from all over the world and also has amazing truffles. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Best sourdough bread in Los Angeles?
Not sure how it compares to SF Sourdough but I really like Gelson's Market Rustic Bread. It does not say it is Sourdough on the label but it is and since it is made in house you sometimes get lucky and get it still warm from the oven. Nice crunchy crust.
Ginger Snap Ice Cream
Finally found it at the Gelsons in Northridge. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as it sounded. I think I prefer my gingersnaps dunked in tea rather than ice cream!!!
up scale vegetarian???
X14 has a Vegan tasting menu and great food!

Ginger Snap Ice Cream
Thanks I'll give it a try. I must try this flavor now that I know it exists!!!
Ginger Snap Ice Cream
Assuming you meant the Gelson's on Van Nuys in SO I went there last night and they did not have it!
Neither did the Pavillions in SO which was supposed to have it.
Best 2010 Dine LA Menu / Experience?
Grace has it going for an additional week but I see nothing on the dineLA website about other restaurants having a 3rd week. If it is extended we had a lovely dinner at IXV.
Dine LA XIV-Anyone been?
Thanks for the recs. I'm allergic to seafood so the Cesear and Salmon were already off the list for me. I was leaning toward the Wagyu and the Chicken anyway so will definately try those. I was totally undecided about dessert but I will certainly go for the Nutella custard now!!!
Glad to hear it was a positive experirence. So many of the reviews on DineLA seem negative or very mixed. Now I can't wait for tonight!!!
Dine LA XIV-Anyone been?
I'm going tomorrow night. I will be ordering from the Dine LA menu but my Vegan sister will not! I'd be curious about recommendations too! Thank you!
Where to find hot peppers?
I thought that ghost pepper grown here was not as hot as if they are grown in India? So far I've only had ghost pepper sauce. I'd love to try the actual pepper!!!
ISO of Afternoon/High Tea in LA or Ventura County
One of the things that impressed me about the Montage was that they made special sandwiches and desserts for my sister who is a Vegan. Usually dessert for a Vegan at tea is just a bowl of sliced fruit.
ISO of Afternoon/High Tea in LA or Ventura County
I haven't been to the Gordon Ramsay I shall have to check it out.
The Montage has a lovely tea about the same price as Gordon Ramsay.
Skip the Rose Tree Cottage in Pasadena it does not live up to the hype!
