what to do with leftovers of stew?
LOL!!! that's hilarious! stewsicles...hehehe...
anyway, thank you all so much for the wonderful ideas! i'm def going to freeze it for later use on one of those "i don't want to cook days" and the biscuits/crusty bread ideas sound absolutely delicious! great ideas everyone!
what to do with leftovers of stew?
tonight i made a stew of chicken, potatoes, onions, carrots, and celery with red wine, olive oil and some spices (salt, pepper, garlic, tarragon). we ate all the chicken and potatoes, but there's still a ton of sauce and veggies left that we don't want to go to waste. i was thinking of maybe making a chicken pot pie or casserole with it or something......any suggestions? we're willing to try new dishes!!!
Who has the spiciest and/or best chicken hot wings in northern virginia or DC area?
i completely agree, i love wings, especially ones with a little kick, but i'm not about to sacrifice my taste buds just so i can claim that i've tasted the hottest wings around. original flavor is definitely the best way to go.....

i am a HUGE fan of good buffalo wings, and i want to try your recipe. how much butter would you use if you were making a pound of wings? and how much hot sauce? or is it more of a "to taste" deal? very interested in trying this out and can't wait for your reply!
anyone tried swai?
Sounds wonderful! Thanks for your reply, I'll definitely try it out. :D
anyone tried swai?
has anyone tried swai? or basa? i've seen it advertised in ads and flyers for stores like safeway or shoppers, but i've never heard of it. i'm guessing it's some type of white fish since it was advertised with the tilapia. any good recipes for it? i like mild fish, the kind that doesn't taste "fishy" (cliche, i know, but i'm pretty new to fish and trying to ease into it). would anyone recommend this? if not, what do you suggest? thanks ahead of time for your input!!!
Gordon Bierch restaurant
I agree with many of the previous posts, the place is very loud, and depending on the time of night, it can get extremely crowded. but it all really depends on what you're looking for. I haven't had a bad experience at GB yet. their steak frites meal is a pretty good deal for the price: a decent cut of steak served on a bed of absolutely delicious garlic fries for 20 bucks. the mahi-mahi sandwich is very moist and tasty as well. i don't know much about the beer, but their cocktails are pretty good too. definitely go for the melon ball, i highly recommend it
