On the road to Vancouver

Hi all- I'm seeking some assistance on 2 matters.

First, my wife and I are travelling from Seattle to Vancouver in early July and we would like to find a nice eating establishment outside Seattle to stop for lunch. We'll start out taking I-5 north but can branch off it to wherever has something good to serve. We aren't picky on the type food, just something that would be serving a wholesome, filling menu and where the "locals" would go to eat, rather than something set up to attract the tourist crowd.

Second, I'm hoping to relocate an establishment I ate at about 20 years ago outside of Mt. Vernon, WA. If I remember correctly, it was on the coast road going north from Mt. Vernon. The road climbed up the cliffs alongside the strait and the place was on the coast (left) side of the road, looked out over the strait & had at least 3 levels of seatings. For the life of me I cannot remember its name but if it still exists I'd like to revisit as the views while dining were spectacular.

Many thanks for any info. to either of my requests.

Help me find a summer beer

You should give San Miguel lager from the Philippines a try. It's made for hot weather and brother is it hot there during the summer. Dos Equis Amber is also a good hot weather beer but don't put any fruit in it.

One night in Seattle

My wife & I will be staying at the Inn at the Market in early July, we only are able to stay the one night, so we were wondering what places at Pike Place Market or close by to it are good for dinner without having to do too much "dressing for dinner". Being in Seattle we'd have to try some good seafood. Many thanks.
