Best meal I ever ate:
At what age? Breakfast with family at Snoqualamie Falls, WA 1971; Monte Cristo sandwich at Churchill's Glendale, CA while shopping with Mom at age 14. Chef Boyce's tasting menu at Montage Resort with Interior Designer friend-fun and fantastic!
My current drink of choice:
Water, wine, V-8
I really wish I could:
Go on a cooking expedition in France with Tyler Florence.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Something Italian - I know it best. But, I have a cache of favorite recipes per friends.
My favorite comfort food:
Mashed potatoes. gnocchi, or when time to make, Tyler Florence's cabbage/potato/bacon casserole.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
I have not eaten out regularly enough in any variety of restuarants for a year as of 1/2010 to say to list 5 favorites.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Prefer hands-on instruction and do so. However, the new "The Best International Recipe" by Cook's Illustrated and James Peterson's "Sauces" are favorites at the moment. Mags and online a source also. Continuing learning with magazines. Started cooking in Home Economics in 1971.
