Cheap Soul Food in Durham/Chapel Hill area?

Hi,

My husband and I are new to the region and love the regional dishes. We've eaten at Crook's Corner, which was delicious, but we're looking for something that's authentic and cheaper. Anyone know of a good southern/soul food restaurant in the area?

Restaurants near RDU

I have some friends coming in to the airport on Friday, but they one is coming in at 7pm and another at 11pm, so I'd like to find a good place with any type of food where we could eat well and kill time until the later flight without having to drive too far away from the Raleigh-Durham airport. Less expensive is always better, thanks for your suggestions.
