D'Jeet - The Grove in Shrewsbury

Went there last Monday for the second time in the last month and it will probably be our last. Last 2 times my boyfriend ordered the wedge and the first time we he asked for more dressing because there was barely any on there. When we got the bill the charged us for exrta dressing, you must be kidding. It was not like he wanted tons of dressing the salad was not dressed enough in the first place, why should we pay for that? He went out on a limb & ordered it again and same thing, barely any dressing. He refused to ask for more. I ordered the tuna nicoise and for the price I could not believe it. I was starving 2 hours later. Do not know why they have a $5 share plate because there is nothing that would be enough to share. It is good quality but that does not mean thay should rob you. I would pick Raven Tea Room for lunch over D'Jeet hands down!!!!!

Tommy's in Red Bank

Went to Tommy's tonight and thought it was terrible. The chopped salad was not chopped and the pizza was so bland. No taste of coal to me, I think it is really an electric oven. I would love to see the ice cream maker for the gelato, it might be home made but at someone else's home. Also all the products tasted like Costco or restaurant depot. Sorry but I will not be back. Mad I wasted the money.

Twin Lght Bakery in Atlantic Highlands

There is a new bakery in the Eastpoint shopping center in Atlantic Highlands. I am a huge fan of the Flakey Tart but Twin Light Bakery is very different. Flakey Tart is French and has good quality small selection. Twin Light is more of a traditional bakery like the kinds I went after Sunday mass. They have a wonderful selection of cookies, pastries, pies, cakes, & fresh bread. I have had the cream puffs which were excellent as well as the cannolies. There sprinkle cookies are my favorite because they remind me of when I was a kid. I have to hide the cookies otherwise my man will eat them all. I will not stop going to the Flakey Tart but Twin Light is a fanastic change!

Xaviars @ Piermont or Blue Hill @ Stone Barns

Sorry, I was refering to X2O. Thanks for calling me on it. I have heard wonderful things about Xaviers. My bad!

X20 Xaviar's on the Hudson

I thought it was just okay. There is a lot of other restaurants I would rather go to. The place is beautiful inside, probably the best bathroom I have been in, but the food was just all right & I found the menu not interesting.

Xaviars @ Piermont or Blue Hill @ Stone Barns

I did not even had to think @ this for one second. Blue Hill at Stone Barns. I would give Blue Hill another chance. Xaviars was totally mediocre. They put so much money into the place and not enough attention on the menu or the food. At least Blue Hill is all @ the food.

Craving Cupcakes in Monmouth County

I am always looking for a great cupcake & I finally found it. Flakey Tart in Atlantic Highlands has the best. I go in there at least 3 times a week for them. I usaully do not prefer chocolate cupcakes but theres are so moist and yummy!!!
