organize recipes

I use Google Drive to store my recipes as pdf's. Most online recipes have a "print" option so I use a pdf printer to create a saveable document. (There are several free pdf maker programs available online.) On Gdrive I have them in a shared folder so friends and relatives can use them too, as well as share their discoveries with us all. I don't organize but rely on searching for an ingredient since that is often the way I cook, farmers' markets being so seasonal. And Gdrive is available anywhere there is an Internet connection.

Am I the only one who doesn't like...?

I'm probably not unusual to dislike sea cucumber. It's the texture more than the taste. Otherwise I will eat anything I've come across, but I couldn't/wouldn't eat insects if they showed up on my plate.

Pope's Nose

Oh boy that brings back memories! I used to buy at a shop that sold turkey tails by the pound, can you imagine??? Sadly, no longer there.

I'm in an arugula rut - new ideas?

I like it as a bed for any fatty meat, too, like sausage, seasoned ground meat, crepinettes, "burgers", etc. I find the sharpness is a nice contrast to the unctuousness. Yum!

Fox's-U-Bet

I've also seen it regularly at thePotrero Hill Safeway, with the kosher foods in the ethnic isle.

Braised Red Cabbage with Bacon

One vegetarian suggestion: add Spanish smoked paprika (Pimenton de la vera) to get the effect of succulent bacon flavor without the meat.
