San Antonio Riverwalk dining

We went to Boudro's for an anniversary lunch. Eh, it was ok. The Guac was way over priced, the rib eye sandwich was ok, but nothing exciting.... I don't even remember what my wife had.

I am sure I need to give it another try, but I wasn't impressed the first time.

Schilo's is good. Corned beef, pea soup and root beer.

Texas BBQ

Cooper's in LLano, had the brisket once... it tasted like pot roast... a decent pot roast, but not brisket... the ribs were ok, the pork chop is awsome.

Augies in SA near the zoo has good ribs... brisket it ok.

Van's BBQ along I-37 on the way to Corpus is a good stop. Brisket is pretty good and the ribs can be really good... or just good.

I highly recommend, Scott Arbor CSA - Pick up is in or just norht of Alamo Heights on Wed. evenings. Farm is near Seguin.

certified organic, we are in the middle of the summer subscription. Great people, great food. This last week was melon drop - couple of cantaloupes, a honey dew, a canary melon, and two small watermelons, plus regular drop - calabasa, shallots, peppers (amazing peppers), yellow squash, ... it has been tough this year with the record heat.

They have optional workdays periodically.

Swimming Hole

Just got back from a short trip to Austin from SA, Just want to say thank you. The family and I had one of our best days ever at the Blue Hole. What a great day and I am so sore. We didn't eat in Wimberly, but we did eat at the South 1st St Trailer Park on Saturday... whoppie pie, chicken and waffles, tacos and all. Thanks all.

Hi I have an 8 and a 10.
Hacienda is good, great setting and playscape for the kids.

I also like The Cove http://thecove.us/cove/index.php Good local food, close to downtown, play area, basketball hoop, car wash, laundry mat.

indoor three story playscape, not fine dining but good food, great salsa bar, very good breakfast, smallish chain
