You will get a million responses. If you are going to be there more than a day or two, I'd highly recommend getting a Zagat's guide to the city . They are tremendously useful guides.

A less gourmand style place I will visit in the future is Paraso. I saw it on Guy Fieri's show and it looked like a great lunch spot if in the Garden District.
