I was thinking something like that. Court of Two Sisters seemed a bit away from the free-flow atmosphere I'm looking for. Really looking for an open spot with a good time, good food, & good music.-- key word: open :) (inexpensive too)
Ride the streetcar from Canal Street to Washington Ave, stroll the few short blocks to the restaurant, and enjoy being able to walk the streets-- that sounds right on! thanks!

Hey guys! I'm leaving my tour of duty in August for a 2 week vacation, of which 5 days will be spent in NOLA. I wanted to experience Emeril's (just cause) but I'd also like suggestions for the other meals, bars, & anything else you've got! I'd rather spend time & money in more inexpensive places that pack better NOLA flavor. However, I'm open, especially because of my romantic accomplice. I'll be staying in Marigny & would love to stay in the general area (to include the quarter) but will have my car to move around. One "minor" factor: NO SEAFOOD! Not much but here's what I have so far.
Breakfast/Brunch: Brennan's, The Court of Two Sisters
Lunch: _______
Dinner: Emeril's, Coops
