Aria
There's a tea at Mandarin Oriental (http://www.mandarinoriental.com/lasvegas/dining/tea_lounge/)
Upscale lounges / bars for a Friday afternoon
Again, not knowing the time it opens but what about Mix restaurant atop Mandalay? You'd probably get great sunset views around 4-4:30 in December.
Upscale lounges / bars for a Friday afternoon
Mandarin Bar at Mandarin Oriental. Great views and great drinks.
Aria
Although not inside Aria proper, I recommend the PUB in Crystals -- good, interesting beer and a large bar menu -- and Mozen and Mandarin Bar in the Mandarin Oriental. Can't recommend Sage highly enough. And wasn't a fan of the Aria buffet -- I thought it was totally fine but nothing out of the ordinary.
Need Recs from Wynn afficionados
Have had a couple of great meals at SW. Also like Parasol Down (right outside SW) for drinks.
Scarpetta or D.O.C.G.?
I have been to neither -- will be going to Scarpetta on my next stay, next week. I will say though that I went to L'Impero in NYC many times and the fricassee of mushrooms, spaghetti with tomato & basil and the capretto were delicious. All of those are only on the Scarpetta menu.
Pre-Fixe on the Vegas Strip for under $100
Sage has a pre-fixe of $79pp. Big fan of the restaurant.
Solo Foodie-----5 days in Vegas mid-February----Staying at Aria without a car
Have eaten at Sage in Aria twice as a solo diner. Both times sat at the bar--bartenders friendly, good drinks and delicious food.
Salted caramel ice cream
Does anyone know where to get salted caramel ice cream (as a standalone item) in Brooklyn? I'm looking specifically for it available at an ice cream shop or as a pint at a supermarket but not as a dessert option as a restaurant.
Thanks very much.

Solo dining in Montreal
Thanks for the suggestions--went to Ferreira Cafe on Saturday night, sat at the bar and had the tuna duo and the foie gras. Both delicious. Bartender was very friendly.
Went to PDC on Sunday night, sat in front of the kitchen and had a lot of fun chatting with the cooks and my neighbors. Had the duck in a can and the apple crumble which were both amazing.
Thanks for your help!
Solo dining in Montreal
I'll be in Montreal next weekend (Sat-Mon) and am looking to try some great restaurants on my own. I have a reservation for Sunday night at Pied De Cochon to sit at the bar. I'd love other suggestions for restaurants where I'd feel comfortable eating on my own, maybe that are casual or also have bars where I can sit and eat.
Thanks so much!
