One night in Tampa, part II
I will be in Tampa for a Thursday night and would like recommendations for a restauranta to eat at with two colleagues.
I would like some place with a water view and near the airport would be ideal or someplace relatively easy to drive to.
I would prefer an 'american' type place- not overly ethnic (out of respect for my coworkers tastes)
I would also like someplace with entrees topping out in the $15-20 range. But we would probably be equally happy with a place that served burgers, seafood, grill items. (and good drinks are always welcome)
Browsing, I've come across Rusty Pelican (might be too $$) Bahama Breeze, Whiskey Joe's and Crabby Bills that are all in more/less one area nearby- what would you suggest?

Best Cinnamon Roll in Dallas
Doesn't mean it tastes good though. Blech. It's all bready and dry and not enough icing to make it sweet unless you are eating the very center or the top inch or two of the roll.
the real San Antonio food junkie list.
Burgers: I love Longhorn for their burgers, the rings are always flour-y or something; Big'z is delicious too, if a bit more upscale and GBG at 1604/281 is fabulous for unusual- 'chef-created' burgers. Love the sweet potato fries, too.
BBQ: Harmon's in Cibolo is my favorite, Texas Pride is good and Two Brothers is great and only 2miles from my house, wuhoo!
Mexican food: Guajillo's for interior mexican cuisine; Los Robertos is hole in the wall, reasonable, 24hrs and the carnitas are >swoon
Middle-eastern: Jerusalem Grill across from Ingram Park Mall
Vietnamese: total hole in the wall, but I love Lien Hung off of IH-35 and Eisenhower (?)
Standard (but good) breakfast: Karina's Cafe
Fast Food w/ great ice cream: (okay, frozen custard) Culver's rocks
Pho in San Antonio?
Have to second "Lien Hung". Don't let the looks deceive you. I won't eat any other Pho Ga (chicken pho) after theirs. It's TERRIFIC!!! Eveything else there is delicious, too.
(SAT) Desperate for great Greek/Lebanese
You might want to try the "Jerusalem Grill" across from Ingram Park Mall. I have not had their gyros, but lots of middle eastern foods. Best Baba Ganoush in town and the owners are very personable.
Need help in San Antonio- looking for dive bars
Try The Cove north of downtown. Definitely funky and good burgers- not sure about the drinks, it's a combo bar/restaurant, laundry and car wash. Also Josephine St Cafe or Liberty Bar (right next door), but they are restaurants w/ drinks vs the other way around. The Cadillac Bar is downtown near the courthouse. I've not been and it gets mixed reviews, but...
