Best meal I ever ate:

garlic soup and their infamous (in my mind at least) puffy tortilla chips at the Smoke Cafe in Jamestown CA

My current drink of choice:

iced mocha. Cold-brew coffee, cream or evaporated milk, and chocolate. Bring on the milkfat and smooth coffee, a combination obviously of divine inspiration.

I really wish I could:

Cook using "primitive" tools and materials

My "Go-to" dinner party dish:

maple apple pie. Just toss apples that have been tossed with flour and cinnamon into a pie shell, and drizzle with real maple syrup.

My favorite comfort food:

sourdough bread with butter

My top 5 favorite restaurants:

The Smoke Cafe in Jamestown, Alfonzo's in Ceres, an Iron Skillet in a truck stop in Wheeler Ridge, the Taqueria in the Junction in Sonora, the Golden Phoenix, the taco truck on yosemite
