Your top splurges in Vancouver?
No Problem. I was thinking about the list again this morning and I noticed that Cin Cin and Yew at the Four Seasons aren't on the list. I haven't dined at either but I've heard good things about both.

CRU on Broadway has never disappointed and they have a great local wine list. Small restaurant and service is fantastic. There is one server that knows the wine list front to back and is just a great guy in general. Would be perfect to have the space for a private party or something like a rehearsal dinner.
Laksa in Western Canada
There's a Malaysian restaurant in Yaletown in Vancouver called Jonker Street. It's small, maybe 6 tables. I went once a couple years ago when it first opened and thought it was pretty good. They are still around a few years later so I'm assuming they are doing something right. I've been to Singapore and KL a couple times since then so I should really go back and give the Laksa a shot. I'll let you know what I find out.

Honjin in Yaletown across from Urban Fare has consistently good sushi. Simply Thai around the corner from the Opus Hotel on Davie also has pretty authentic thai food and the lunch pricing is good.
Baoguette, curry hill
Went today and had a spicy catfish. All things were good, bread was soft but crispy on the outside, plenty of catfish and spice.
They were baking the bread onsite so it's fresh when you get your order... not sure if this is a new thing since it was my first time there. If so, perhaps all the bread concerns are now answered?
10 days in Italy (Milan, Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre)
Hey chowhounders,
Looking for inexpensive to moderate recommendations for the the above mentioned cities. Will be travelling the first 10 days of May and seeing that we'll be in each place for only a couple days, i'm looking for "can't miss" type places.
I've already heard about Nerbone in Florence, but welcome plenty more suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
Best Chinese in Vancouver?
For Korean, try Jang Mo Jib on Robson St near Denman. It's known for it's Pork Bone Soup. The seafood pancake and dumplings are also pretty good.
Hon's on Robson isn't particularly stellar but great for cheap rice and noodles.
Victoria under the Hyatt hotel has pretty good dim sum and Kirin on Alberni is worth checking out as well. Might be a bit pricey for dinner. You might want to consider some other asian food if you're downtown. Gyoza King, Guu, Tropika, Simply Thai are all worth going to.
