haha yes I love Chef Chris's Boogie Woodie BBQ!! The best is when they are smoking the meat right out in the parking lot!

REVIEW: Matsu, Huntington Beach

lol... Tuna Town, is the place for rolls and tourist... does anyone have a review of RA sushi on PCH, its usually loud and crowded but maybe a good place for lunch?

Beachwood BBQ - Seal Beach

OK cool, thats not too close to me. but if its as good as people say, it can never be too far!

Beachwood BBQ - Seal Beach

Did I miss it when we talked about where this place of glorious Texas bbq is located, Big Mista?. Being from Houston, I could use some good bbq asap.

Best wings in Orange County? [moved from CA board]

I wanted to love wingnuts in costa mesa, but i just don't think they have the best wings, Now my friends and I think the best wings locally are at Longboard Pub, in HB, but they're are not available in a bunch of different flavors, like the other places. They are just the right texture, with a great buffalo sauce.

Beachwood BBQ - Seal Beach

I just recommended this place for a birthday, how is the bar at night, is there alot of people there getting drinks?

My golden B-day is approaching and I need help!

Not sure if this is nice enough but beachwood bbq in seal, is very hip, and has great food.

Had a great time at sakura last night, I had never had the yakitori there, the selection was amazing! I had half of a quail for $1.95, and on thurday it is all you can drink Kirin for $10, I dont think I will be doing that anytime, but I will be back for just yakitori in the near future.

REVIEW: Matsu, Huntington Beach

I've only had the sushi there one time, and it was in the dinning room and i remeber it being not too great as well, haven't been back since, even though the tempanyaki (sp?) bar is pretty good. The next best sushi bar I would recommend in HB would be "sushi on fire" on main. There are some pretty good sushi places in fountain valley, but I can remember what they were called.

Huntington Beach Suggestions?

lol! I'll be a Sakura tonight! Can't wait for it!

Huntington Beach Suggestions?

wow, i'm new to this site, and its crazy how post can come back after several years!

Best HB spot (lived here for 15 year) has to be:
Sakura (shabu shabu) The lunch special has to be one of the best deal in all of Socal, especially if you order chicken! My wife and I were going here a couple times a week for a while. Check it out!

Seafood in Newport Beach...

I was going to recomend the chart house, but it has been 4 years since i have been there, so it might not be what I remember. I have not been to the other 2 places.

Great Crepes in Long Beach-La Creperie

Yes rocking crepes is great! went there twice last week after i found out about it. Everyone in the HB area should check this place out, I hope it does well, I love having a place i can go to after dinner for dessert that not a coffee shop! I went on a saturday night and worried it would be crowded, but it was empty now I'm worried it will not survive!

"Taps fish house" in Brea has their own oyster bar with selection from all over the country, Great place in general,

Post Disneyland beer?

I second the rec of Heroes, Countless beer options and good food! but still a small drive, i would just recommend heading to downtown fullerton after Dland, there's quite a few great places to have drink.

What's your best burger in OC?

Yeah those breakfast burritos looked really good!

What's your best burger in OC?

haha so this place should really be in an "onion ring" thread, not burger

Any Spice shops in OC?

been to frogs breath, not too bad, but the selection was smaller than expected.

Tustin.... I dont think I have ever been to a restaurant there!

Venissimo looks great! went to the website, they had a lot of cool cheese, then i saw the cheese of the month club, seemed really cool except the price come out to $45/per pound, that is some pricey cheese! I thought $30/lbs was a lot

Best Asian Food in North OC?

This is really not all that close to the cities he is inquiring about. If i wanted good asian, on a given night in the week, I dont plan on driving 40 minutes to eat.

Best Asian Food in North OC?

Sweetie thai in cypress has great thai food.

What's your best burger in OC?

Any Spice shops in OC?

Thanks so much for all the info! I really like this site(1st post on the chow).

Is Tustin like the Indian district? Tustin is not all that close to me here in nothern OC, Oh well, I'm sure a liitle research will reveal one a little closer.

Now what about a good cheese shop, in OC. That would be great, Im Thinking about picking up some good cheese on the way home from work. At this point my local ralphs is where i go for cheese (maybe ill go to whole foods but its not very close) I'm even considering going to costco after work, they usually have a pretty good sharp cheddar.

Any Spice shops in OC?

Thats true, I have gotten alot of my spices at henry's, but the selection is limited. now and Indian market would be a good idea, know of any good ones in OC?

I will have to go to this "Penzey's Spices" I've heard so much about.

Any Spice shops in OC?

I would love to have a place to get fresh whole spices, does anybody know of a place in Orange County?

What's your best burger in OC?

Ok so I just started a new job in Laguna Niguel, and was looking for good lunch places, I read this review and realized that A's was mere seconds away from my work, so I went there just an hour ago. To be honest it was just ok. The burger was nothing to right home about, I would much rather have a Fat Burger. Although the fried zucchini was greay and a lot of the other items on the menu looked good, so I'm sure ill be back just probably not for the burgers.
