Fulton street restaurant

Need a moderately priced restaurant in Fulton street area. attending miracle on Fulton street on a Sat. night in dec. any sleepers in that area I don't know about. Going to Mr. Johns on Friday and Galatoires on sun.so something a little less formal and a little less expensive.

have reservations next Sat night. First time. Where should I ask to be seated? Need a regular to guide me. It's expensive which I don't mind but don't want to be treated as a tourist.
Thanks.

Bloody Marys

This is exactly what we did Xmas week. $1.50 bloody marys and asked for vodka and tomato juice and worchestshire, hot sauce celery salt and lime on the side and mixed our own. The bartenders were fine with it.

Suggestions for healthy eating in NOLA?

I think eating healthy in NOLA would be considered an oxymoron. Or a waste of time. Try Berkeley.

Best restaurants for a group of male golfers?

You don't necessarily have to sit all together, since you'll be with each other all day long. maybe you could book 2 tables of 8 or 9 and go to any restaurant you want. After a few drinks you'll all be visiting with each other anyway. Check out the scene at Galitoires on a friday afternoon.

Antoine's - last minute reservation or walk in?

I was also disappointed with the oysters rockefeller.I could only taste the goop on top of these tiny little oysters. I was expecting something on the order of a "casino" style dish served sizzling on the half shell. These were, well "yuch".

We're only in New york for 3 nights and One night we're meeting friends at Gallaghers for steaks and one night at Melon for light dinner so I have that one night open for something different.

Has anyone eaten at the revolving restaurant at the Marriott Marquis? I know it will be touristy but that we expect. I don't want to be taken advantage of though. I realize it will be expensive which I don't mind as long as we're not just plain ripped off. We go to New Orleans often and the restaurants and waitstaff could not be nicer, but I hear New York waiters can be awlful knowing they will never see you again, and assuming you're not a sophisticated tipper.
