Thoughts on Bombay Club
I will tell you that the food at both Broussard's and the Bombay Club is wonderful. I suggest more seafood dishes at Broussard's. Delicious fish herbsaint, oysters, appetizers. I do love the creole ribeye as well. What a great restaurant with a beautiful courtyard. Bombay Club is known for wonderful drinks & martinis, but also its great atmospher. I now know after my last two trips to New Orleans that their food is divine as well! Their filet with stilton, the hamburger (yummy late night!!) both yummy. Great music on the weekend. Like Bayona but need to go again. Last time was a big disappointment,. Enjoy!
Royal House Oyster Bar?
is this the old Royal Cafe building? I used to love to eat there. We'll have to try it next time we're there. Thanks!
Need help, arriving next week
yeah, we ate there Tuesday and man, those oysters were divine! Also had really good shrimp. Wish fries were crispier but hey, shouldn't have been eating them anyway! YUM
Tommy's vs. Irene's, Update?
Tommy's..hands down. Much nicer people and you don't have to grease the palm of the maitre'd. Even though Irene's takes reservations, it's still not an easy system. I'd much rather go to Tommy's. more romantic, IMO.
