The Porch at the Lamb Tavern in Springfield Delaware County

We've now gone several times. And with 2 young children, the back "Porch" with the fountain is wonderful! We'll have to try inside this winter. The food was very good, and the atmosphere is great. There are so few non-chain restaurants in the area, that we are pleased to have this dining option. The French onion soup is the best I've ever had - complex, not too salty. And we loved the calamari appetizer, and the shrimp wrapped in bacon. There is nothing too adventurious, but it's a good straightforward menu. Reminded me of what hotel restaurants used to feature. And they do participate in some dining clubs (cash back, etc.), so that's a plus too.

North End American Grille in North Wildwood

Thanks for the detail! I agree, all a little too much aggrevation for dinner, even on a Saturday night at the shore!

North End American Grille in North Wildwood

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by "disaster"? Are you saying it's a good place for a serious dinner?

Thank you!

North End American Grille in North Wildwood

I understand that Marie Nicole's restaurant in Wildwood Crest opened a new casual spot in North Wild wood, this summer. Has anyone eaten there, and what did you think?

Real New Jersey experience

And you can't get a real Jersey tomato before mid-July. Even if you buy it at a farm stand. It's not hot enough, long enough, till mid-summer to grow a proper tomato. And if you grow it in a hot house, even if the hot house is in NJ, it's not a Jersey tomato.

Real New Jersey experience

I have to agree that you should see the boardwalk in Wildwood . There is no place like it in the world, althought we may not all agree on the reason it's so unique! Mack's pizza is the gold standard, although I prefer Sam's. Douglas fudge is the absolute best - not sugary like the competitors. Ride the giant ferris wheel for an incredible view.

The Porch at the Lamb Tavern in Springfield Delaware County

It appears to be open now. Has any one eaten there since it became "The Porch"? What do you think?

Willow Valley Resort looking for dinner nearby

When I look online, it shows the restaurant just minutes south of Willow Valley - not 10-15 minutes north in Lancaster City. It appears to be in a shopping center. Is that the right restaurant, and I agree, it sounds great!

Willow Valley Resort looking for dinner nearby

We're heading to Willow Valley this weekend, with a 2 and 7 year old. We plan to head out to a restaurant one night. Looking for a suggest for Saturday or Sunday night. Ethnic is fine, interesting is fine, chain restaurants are not.

Any suggestions for something close to the hotel?

Sycamore BYO, Lansdowne

It is a fabulous restaurant! If they are doing lobster night (usually during the weekn) don't miss it! Served complete out of the shell, and the best lobster I've every had. And the cheese and charcuterie is always outstanding. And the scallops! And and and....

Philly Chinatown Dim Sum

We love Joy Tsin Lau the best! We've tried Ocean Harbor a couple of times, but didn't find the incredible selection they have at Joy Tsin Lau. And they serve Dim Sum during the work week too. Just be sure to get there before 1 pm on weekdays - the start shutting down a little after that. And if you like sesam balls, grab them as soon as you see them - they always run out!

Restaurant suggestion near the Comcast Center?

I'll check the menu at Petro' Coal Oven Pizza!

Restaurant suggestion near the Comcast Center?

The Continental is a good suggestion - we have taken the kids there a few times, I do love Parc, but my toddler is a little ramy these days!

Restaurant suggestion near the Comcast Center?

We're looking for a place to go after seeing the Christmas exhibit this week, so it will be an early dinner, and we'll have a bunch of kids with us. But, we're still looking for a pretty nice restaurant. Any suggestions in easy walking distrance?

Restaurant suggestions around the Constitution Center

My friend and I are going to the Diana exhibit this Saturday, and are looking for a nice place for dinner after. Not too expensive, but not a sandwich place either! We've been to most of the places that have been around forever. Thanks!

Patou in Philly at 312 Market St.

Looking for something new. My friend and I are going to the Diana exhibit, and dinner after. I have some credits with restaurant.com, and it was on their list. Nothing else in the area looked interesting, except for Cafe Spice, but I'm not sure my friend will eat Indian. Maybe I'll just post for suggestions.

Patou in Philly at 312 Market St.

Does anyone know how this restaurant is? It's owned by the person who opened Bistro St. Tropez. Bistro St. Tropez used to be good, but was pretty awful on a recent trip. I don't want to repeat a bad experience.

The Dumpling House in Wilmington Delaware

Can anyone comment on The Dumpling House in Wilmington Delaware, on 11th?

Momiji in Rio Grande outside of Wildwood

It just opened this weekend. Has anyone gone yet? And what did you think?

Diner for dinner near Media or Springfield

Can anyone recommend a really good diner (yes! Diner!) near Springfield, Media or Brooomall?

Brunch near Feasterville in Bucks County or Montgomery County

We're looking for a place to take my day for big birthday (90th). A buffet brunch would be best. Any suggestions?

Is the Seaview Marriott still open? I'm looking for a place for brunch.

Thank you! I called and they still have the champagne brunch. It's now $25 per head, 1/2 price for children.

Is the Seaview Marriott still open? I'm looking for a place for brunch.

The Seaview always had a nice buffet brunch, but I the website won't open, and there is no mention of the Seaview on the Marriott website. Did they close? Change names? Any other suggestions for a nice brunch from Cape May to short of Atlantic City?

Crabs in Arlington/DC area

Looking for a place for GOOD crabs! Brown paper places are fine, as long as the crabs are good and big. We'er staying in Arlington, and don't want to travel too far. And the place needs to be open on Sunday night. Thanks!

Nice, slightly upscale restaurant in DC

We looking for a nice, slightly upscale (like to keep dinner under $200 with maybe 2 cocktails total) for Sunday night in DC. We will have our baby and 6 year old with us, but they are used to eating in nice restaurants, so it's doesn't have to be kid friendly, but i do need a high chair. No chains, please. Thanks!

Inexpensive brunch/lunch on the Main Line

My niece is graduating from Villanova, and we're looking for a place to take the extended family. We need something nice, but not too fancy, and reasonably priced.

Which one should we choose? Lauriol Plaza, Grillfish, Clydes Gallery Place or Meiwah?

We're visiting DC next weekend with our baby and 6 year old (who eats in a wide variety of restaurants.) We're planning to meet friends for an early dinner on Friday. They gave us a list of their favorite restaurants. Which one should we choose? Lauriol Plaza, Grillfish, Clydes Gallery Place or Meiwah?

Dining with kids in Arlington

We are staying at the Residence Inn Pentagon City on Army Navy, near the Fashion Center. And yes, we will have our car with us.

Thank you for alll the helpful replies!

Dining with kids in Arlington

We're going to make a trip to Washington DC in May, and will be staying in Arlngton. We will have our 6 year old daughter with us. She is a really great eater, and we don't have to limit our dining experiences because of her. I'm looking for suggestions for reasonable restaurants in DC and Arlington. We try to avoid chain restaurants, and do love all ethnic restaurants.
