I have to give a shout out for Baba Louies Sourdough Pizza in the middle of Great Barrington. Its the best pizza we've found since we left Chicago 12 years ago. Baba Louie's is NOT Chicago style pizza.) Interesting toppings, Well executed. Great salads. If you're going for dinner and on tight schedule, be there before the door opens. Or, there's a carry out window in the corridor adjacent to the restaurant. Which is a great option for Tanglewood or enjoying the street scene on a summer evening.

And another endorsement for Burdick in Walpole. Yeah, its a hike from Hanover, but you would think you were in a great brasserie in Paris. The food is wonderfully executed and a bargain for the quality. With a glass of wine, two appetizers, two small entrees, and one desert, we were out $100.
I've been to Simon Pearce twice this winter and there is no comparison. Simon Pearce is in a beautiful location and a great building, but I was disappointed in the food. Certainly good, but not worth the price or the effort to get there for me.
suggestion for good road food on Rt 91 in Vermont from the Mass. border to White River Junction, Vt.?
Saw Burdick mentioned in another post and gave it a try last Saturday after having to attend a wedding nearby. It was without a doubt the best food we have had in 3 years in New Hampshire. It was like being back in Paris at a favorite brasserie. Superb execution. Service as good as you're going to get out in the country. Highly recommended.
