Charbroiled Oysters in Boston?

After a recent trip to New Orleans, I got hooked on the charbroiled oysters that originated and are served at Dragos: http://www.dragosrestaurant.com/about/our-oysters/

Anyone know of restaurants in Boston that serve this delicacy?

Thank you in advance!

Killer Roast Lamb Sandwich - Greek Corner Cambridge

I tried SG's recommendation tonight of the roast lamb sandwich (extra Tazatziki) and it was indeed awesome - I'll go back for that over the Gyro all of the time.

Spinach pie was good - I did carryout and perhaps it suffered through the drive. So I'd say "solid."

Thank you StriperGuy for alerting me to this definite find.

odd that they would mislead a television show...

Here's the clip from D,D&D - it'd be odd that they changed to a loaf in a year since this broadcast...

Thanks StriperGuy, on your recommendation I plan on trying this lamb sandwich in the next few days!

Winsor Dim Sum Chinatown Sunday: Decided We must try for the first time from the western 'Burbs

In December the garage on beech street (which many restaurants use to offer discounted parking) was closed - you may want to check if it has since reopened.

Enjoy!

Sweet Cheeks

Like others in this string, I am a huge fan of Hill Country in New York - the best barbecue that I have ever had...by far.

We tried Sweet Cheeks tonight and it was pretty good. I was disappointed with the much hyped short rib - not very flavorful.

The brisket, however, I thought was outstanding. Salt andpPepper rub was flavorful but as Jenny Ondioline mentioned, there's a lot of fat on their brisket - even too much fat for me (and I like my brisket on the fatty side). And yes, the brisket was sliced thickly...which did not bother me.

Sides - farm salad & brocolli caserole - were outstanding.

Bottom line: the best barbecue in Boston and I'll be a regular for the brisket. That said, not a transcendental experience as Hill Country is for me.

...still no menu online...

Recommendations Please! Takeout Stuffing

Thank you very much for your advice - I went to Whole Foods and got the corn bread stuffing with sausage - the tasting was outstanding!

Chompie - Whole Foods does have a New England style stuffing - that apparently is its most popular since it is vegetarian.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Recommendations Please! Takeout Stuffing

Thank you for all of your recommendations! I am currently focused on Savenor's, Formaggio, and Whole Foods. All are relatively close by and I actually know where they are located.

Any suggestions on which store offers the best dressing?

Recommendations Please! Takeout Stuffing

Hello, family is visiting for Thanksgiving and we are going out for the festivities.

Trying to be a great host (and son), I thought it would be nice to also have turkey at home so we can have traditional turkey sandwiches post-Thanksgiving.

I'd sincerely appreciate any recommendations on where I can purchase awesome stuffing for takeout to accompany this turkey.

Many thanks!

Sweet Cheeks

No carryout until Monday - is the parking situation bad over there?

Sweet Cheeks

it'd be nice if they had their menu online...

Local beef at Coolidge Variety in Watertown!

beautiful ribs!!

Yesterday I had a legitimate "Foodgasm"

An excellent example of what can be missed by axiomatically dismissing "chain restaurants."

The November 2011 Esquire Magazine lists Legal Harborside as on the "best new restaurants" in the country.

Best Little Restaurant, formerly Ho Yuen Ting, in Chinatown

Thanks to the board for highlighting this excellent restauarant.

We tried it last night (garlic spareribs, lettuce cups) and it was fantastic - will become a regular.

Thanks again!

Update on Olive's

Excellent news on Olives. While others may differ in their opinions, I always found it an enjoyable place for dinner.

And apologies to MC that everyone on this board does not conform to his writing style (additional apostrophes) or username preferences ("foodie" in my username)...

Some Very Good Steak...

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Costco has outstanding steaks. The choice grade is so good ($7 - $8 per pound) that there is no reason to upgrade to their Prime steaks ($11 - $13 per pound).

Trust me when I proclaim "outstanding!"

Bagels By Us - H&H bagels?

Love H&H bagels!

Qingdao Garden MARCH 2ND RE-OPEN

Agree that the portions have shrunk, would have gladly paid an extra dollar or two for more of that delicious cumin lamb!

Qingdao Garden MARCH 2ND RE-OPEN

so was it busy? We had hoped to stop by tonight.

Tico - did tasting menu with friends last night

Gotcha, I had assumed that each person received an individual tasting plate of each of the courses listed.

Tico - did tasting menu with friends last night

a pretty great deal - if the deal was for 3 courses, the OP received 12 courses.

Anyone been to Chau Chau City Dimsum lately

Bubor, the Malaysian restaurant, specializes in dim sum?

Anyone been to Chau Chau City Dimsum lately

Chau Chau is my go-to dim sum spot in Chinatown.

I got flamed a few years ago when I claimed that Chau Chau is better than the sadly departed Gitlos...but I stand by my evaluation.

Any Interesting Chinese New Year Multi-courseMenus in Chinatown?

...please share! Thank you.

Your Help Requested: Mail Order Lobster

Many thanks for your help. In my research I found a pretty unbelievable deal at Costco.com

Six lobsters (minimum 1.5 pounds) for $139.99 delivered. Now that is a pretty fantastic deal!

Your Help Requested: Mail Order Lobster

Hello, I am sending a "New England" Themed present (mail order lobsters) to friends and would be most grateful for your recommendations on what provider is the best.

Thank you!

Mind Blowing Steak Tips: Eastside Bar & Grille

I am a long time follower of this board and last year heeded the consensus to trek to the New Bridge for steak tips. Perhaps I caught an off night or "taking out" diminished my experience, but imho, the tips were good but not great.

I tried the Eastside Bar & Grille last night (east cambridge) and their menu hyped their steak tips. Curious, I bit, and boy am I glad that I did. The steak tips were incredibly flavorful and very tender - the best that I have ever had.

I highly recommend the Eastside and am curious of others' opinions on their steak tips - as this nice neighborhood gem generally does not come up in discussions about steak tips in the Boston area.

Many thanks!

Bon Chon Chicken- Disgusting!!

perhaps the OP did not feel comfortable bringing this up with the management in the middle of the meal. I believe that It is management's job to ask customers if everything is okay.

If the waiter saw that only 7/30 wings were eaten and did not enquire "if everything was ok," well, that reflects the attitude of the restaurant.
