The best Tikka Masala in the Bay Area?
For a San Francisco restaurant, my vote is for Mehfil (http://mehfilindian.com) (600 Folsom). Amazing TM. The sag aloo and bengan bharta are great too. not greasy, very fresh tasting. the best naan too.
Does anyone know where I can find sweet or sour tapioca flour in San Francisco?

I'm not sure what time your show ends, but what about Afternoon Tea at the Rotunda at Nieman Marcus (Union Square)? That might be really fun, especially for the younger ones.

Embarcadero bound and looking for seafood
you're probably right re Crab House-- like i said, had to eat there cuz of the touristing parents :). Do you have a recommendation for crab? normally i just eat it when i visit home- old school Chinese style- fresh crab from Ranch 99, steamed/ boiled w/ ginger slices in vinegar on newspaper.

In case you have to visit Fisherman's Wharf/ Pier 39, I actually would recommend The Crab House at Pier 39. Ate there when taking my visiting parents around sightseeing and we really enjoyed the crab chower and roasted crab.
