What prepared foods are you looking forward to eating at the JFX market?

Lots of great prepared food: jambalaya, donuts, fried fish, pit beef, and crepes are my favorites

Cuban Sandwich in Beltsville/College Park Area?

Cuba de Ayer in Burtonsville has outstanding homemade Cuban food and excellent Cuban sandwiches.

Butchers in Maryland close to MoCo NoVa ok too

Wilson's Meat Farm in Catlett, VA is the best place to get excellent beef, lamb, chicken, and pork. Cash only though

Fried chicken?

BonChon has great Korean fried chicken, def worth the 1 hr wait

Frozen Yogurt By The Ounce

Tutti Fruiti in Ellicott City on Rt 40 is pretty good. Nice modern interior and its usually crowded. FroYo changes daily and some good flavors. Ton of toppings, but watch out b/c $5 doesnt go very far.

Another Five Guys opened in Columbia, MD

Next to Panera and WalMart on Dobbin Road. I believe the Party Store used to be there. Just wanted people to know since I stumbled across it this evening. I just went to the Five Guys in Laurel the other day and this new one in Columbia is only 2 miles from my house.

I haven't eaten there yet, but I hope someone does and writes a review about how consistent it is compared to the others (or the original in VA).

chinese new year

I was also looking for a place to go for Chinese New Years. I suspect that with the snow and since it also falls on Valentine's Day, nothing is really going on. I may end up just doing dim sum at Oriental East if I can get in line early enough.

Nice lunch in Baltimore, mid week

Iggies is a great pizza place and not far away. Try the duck pizza, its absolutely great.

Pollo Fuego in Jessup?

I also think its pretty good. Good marinated chicken, yuca/plantains are great, and the beans/rice was good too (although you have to order it separate).

BEST PLACE to buy PIES in Baltimore area???

While not in Baltimore, Catoctin Mountain Orchard in Thurmont, MD has the BEST pies I've ever had. I usually make a trip there every few months to pick up a dozen frozen pies (anything apple is the best).

Jessup/Columbia - Sports Bar

PubDog off Dobbin Rd and Champps at Columbia Mall are great places to hang out

Private dining area in the Rockville/Bethesda area?

as much as i love Chinese, most of the others probably wont go for it. i'd rather keep it to something more American, b/c i think the Mexican is wearing thin now.

i may give Rays a call to see if they can accomodate us, but keep the suggestions coming please.

Private dining area in the Rockville/Bethesda area?

thanks for the suggestions. i forgot to mention that we usually average about $20/person, so those 2 places wouldnt really work. As much as I like Rays the Classics and Mortons, its cost prohibitive. Our past locations have been mostly sports bars, and we're currently at Mi Rancho in Rockville.

Please keep the suggestions coming, thanks

Private dining area in the Rockville/Bethesda area?

I'm looking for a place to host my car club's board meetings. We usually have 15-25 people and since we conduct official business, we need some privacy for discussion. We have people coming from the Baltimore and NoVa areas, so Rockville/Bethesda seems pretty central for most.

The only other requirement is ample, lighted parking since we are a car club :)
