Alternatives to Spoon House for Japanese (wafu) spaghetti / pasta?
Is Spoon House the only place in town for wafu spaghetti? This would be western pastas topped with Japanese ingredients - cod roe, bonito, seaweed, sea urchin, natto, shiso, etc.

Is Craigie brunch kid friendly?
I took my three-year-old there a few weeks ago, didn't have a problem.
Food-wise: No kid's menu, but the menu online was the same as the one we got there, so you can check if there's something your kids will like (most likely yes).
Atmosphere-wise: We sat on the bar side of the restaurant, and at least this area is kid-compatible. There was lively conversation at the bar, which set the tone noise-wise. Besides our table, there were just a couple two-tops, so it was kind of secluded.
One constraint might be group size, we were four adults with a kid in the high chair at the end, I don't think any more would fit.
What really made it work, though, was the service. It's a lot easier to keep your kid happy when the waitstaff is taking care of all your needs, often without you even needing to ask.
How do I make ground beef?
Hm. Dunno. Seeing as how no one else has had a similar experience, maybe something's wrong with my grinder attachment. Or maybe I've been doing something wrong all this time.
How do I make ground beef?
You'll want to prepare for some spray out of the nozzle of the grinder. Just tiny splotches, but it can spread over a really wide area. You might want to tape a sheet of paper towel so that it hangs off the front edge of the grinder feed dish. Even with the paper towel, some gets past, so I face the grinder toward a nearby wall so I only have one area to scrub.
I didn't think of any of this first time I used my mixer to grind meat, and it happened to be pointing at a filled dish rack. The process was just slow and subtle enough for me not to notice for a few pounds.

What restaurants don't we talk about enough?
For kim bop, another place to try is Han a rum market, really close to Qingdao Garden. It's not nearly as large as Reliable, but for prepared food, I like them better. It's all made on site rather than shipped in from New York.
Weekdays, there's side dishes in the fridge, marinated BBQ meats as well. On weekends, they make kim bop, duk (rice cakes), and a nice jun (pancake with scallions and other vegs).

Ryomundo sounds really interesting. Do you have an address or rough location? (not getting anything in Google)
