Authentic Mexican in NYC?

After a short trip to Mexico I discovered how incredibly fresh and delicious real Mexican food is. Does anyone know where to find real, authentic Mexican food in Manhattan?

"New York" Italian?

It's Trattoria Spaghetto, on Carmine and Bleecker, it's excellent!! Lots of character, a real classic. More casual than Trattoria Toscana which I hear is amazing...

Easter Cake?

Thank you for these amazing suggestions! I actually have other cake needs that I can use Momofuku, Ciao for Now and Chikalicious for, but for Easter, I think the Sandguglhupf at Demel's will be PERFECT!!! Danke.

PASSOVER HELP NEEDED! CHOCOLATE COVERED MATZAH IN TRIBECA?

Sorry if this is too late, but there's Jacques Torres Hudson Street and King. It has matzos covered in dark chocolate.

Dessert Cafe in West Village

Le Figaro cafe has reopened on Bleecker, it's very casual and family-friendly and has amazing desserts. For very simple, very homeade desserts like pecan and pumpkin pie, giant cookies, and great coffee in a relaxed, Martha's Vinyardy environment--v. family friendly--there's the Grey Dog Cafe.

"New York" Italian?

Trattoria on Carmine Street is the best! Classic NY Italian on a classic NY Italian block...Cash only.

UES In Search of Nice Easter Candy.

Of course for Brach jelly beans, you should try a drugstore as suggested, Walgreen's advertises a really enormous Easter candy selection...but, if you're looking for special little treats, I would definitely check out Macy's.

Easter Cake?

I gave up cake for Lent, looking for something special, really special, for Easter. Anyone know any amazing bakeries? I'm over Magnolia and want something with a little more luster than Amy's Bread...
