Good steakhouse in Baltimore?
We are taking a guy's trip up to Baltimore from New Orleans for the Saints/Ravens game next weekend and we want to find a great spot for dinner on saturday night. There will be six us and price isnt really an issue.
We would most likely want to do a good steakhouse or a really good Italian place. Any suggestions?
Thank you very much, in advance.
Anniversay weekend "Stay-cation" plans
So I'm surprising my wife in two weeks with a weekend staying down in the Quarter. for our anniversary Here is what I'm thinking so far....
Friday
Lunch: Galatoire's. I've always wanted to pull the move of staying all afternoon and do dinner there as well, but havent ever had to nerve to do it. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on this?
Saturday
B-Fast: Stanley!, followed by some coffee at Cafe Du Monde
Lunch: Luke or Cochon
Dinner: August or Bayona or Arnaud's
Sunday
Mass at St. Louis Cathedral followed by brunch at Mr. B's
Dinner: Stella
What are y'alls thoughts? We are both locals and I'm a real foodie. My wife enjoys eating out quite a bit but isnt very adventurous in what she orders.

best restaraunts in warehouse district?
Rio Mar, Emeril's or Rock n Sake would also be good choices in that area.
Rate These Restaurants
You will happy with any of your breakfast and lunch choices and NONE of your dinner choices.
You would be much happier to shy away from the franchise restaurants for dinner. If this is your first visit, i would highly recommend trying something more local and unique.
Best place for "Guys Night"
La Boca is a great place for a guy's night. The steaks are fantastic, as well as all of the appetizers and the sides. I highly recommend the Gaucho Plate and the Proveleta as starters. You can get a little roudy here and nobody looks down on you. Plus, its right by the Red Eye and The Republic so you can just walk to the bars after dinner. Enjoy!
Sunday breakfast in Memphis?
Bosco's on the square has some really good sunday brunch items as well. I havent lived in Memphis for about 5 years, but my favorite used to be eggs benedict with some fried oysters on top.
The Best Thing You Ever Ate: New Orleans
As others have said, this is a daunting task. Naming one single dish in a city filled with so many great dishes of different style cuisines is impossible. But...if I had to pick just one, i can distinctly remember the first time I ever had the lamb chops at Commander's many years ago. They had such a great flavored crispy crust on the outside, while the inside was cooked at a perfect medium rare temperature. Not sure if they still prepare them this way, as the time to which i am referring was back in the Jamie Shannon days. I dont think it gets any better than those lamb chops.
Pizza in NOLA - where?
I agree about the Dough Bowl...as long as you don't go when all the drunk kids are stumbling out of the Boot. They have great thin and crispy crust. My other favorite is New York Pizza.
New Bar at Antoine's
Has anybody been to the new bar at Antoine's?
I've heard that the Oysters Foch Po Boy is really good and is only $8.50.
Any reports would be appreciated.
