How to make Chicago-style crust Interesting. Well, I am going to try it out tomorrow. I will let you all know how it goes. I am assuming that the flour doesn't matter. One would not necessarily want to use bread flour since that seems to be better for Neopolitan style |

How to make Chicago-style crust that would be so great. i don't have a subscription and it seems their recipes are behind a paywall |

How to make Chicago-style crust both of these are great suggestions! thanks! the recipes in the pizzamaking.com link seem to use more oil and a combo of vegetable and olive oil which makes sense. But Cook's Illustrated does a lot of work on testing out things..so i will try to find that recipe, if i can. thanks |

How to make Chicago-style crust I have been trying to perfect a Chicago style stuffed pizza. But I am unsure what it is that makes the crust so buttery and dense yet somehow sweet. It's not a regular pizza dough recipe. I have tried using butter but that does not seem to be the key, either. |

where to go for a special birthday meal I am looking for recommendations for a special birthday dinner. The dinner is not until December, so I have time, but I realize some places may take that much time to get into. I am considering the following: Le Berdadin I am looking for a place that is romantic, quiet, great service, great food and interesting selections. I am not all that worried about price. Willing to pay as little or as much as needed for a nice meal. Also, any other suggestions than those above would be helpful. willing to look outside the borough of Manhattan, also. ----- Del Posto Marea Locanda Verde |

But they are not all that great...I used to rely on Amarin...does anyone know if that is still good? any other ideas? suggestions? mostly, this is for delivery, btw...i am holed up with a bad knee. thanks ----- |

Arlington, Manchester, Bennington Vermont Area Recommendations I am going to be in Arlington, Vermont next weekend and I am looking for some good restaurant recommendations. I prefer something not too pricey. What would be ideal would be a great old tavern with good food. Also, I am worried some of those "taverns" are overpriced and bank on tourists like me coming up for a snowy weekend to experience some old New England charm. I have been to Blue Benn diner in Bennington and like that for breakfast. Anything else for dinner--fireplaces would be great, too |

Scottsdale, Phoenix, Jerome, Sedona, Flagstaff wow--"coca-cola glazed kurobuta ham "steak" served with cornbread pudding, apple-fennel chutney ($18)." sounds amazing. thanks! for mexican food in the scottsdale/phoenix area--is the barrio cafe considered one of the better choices? most authentic? I am curious about fry bread house and navajo tacos, too. sounds great. any other uniquely phoenix or arizona-kind of places? thanks for your help |

Scottsdale, Phoenix, Jerome, Sedona, Flagstaff I am coming to Arizona this Wednesday. I will be in North Scottsdale Wed-Friday and then we are driving up to Flagstaff for Saturday and Sunday. For Saturday and Sunday--we plan to take a scenic drive to Flagstaff with stops in Jerome and Sedona. Any suggestions for those places, also, would be awesome! Thanks |

This is so great! I have made a few batches of ricotta over the last few months. I have tried this recipe here--which uses lemon as the curdling agent---http://tastingtable.com/recipe/TastingTable-Salvatore_Recipe.pdf and I have also used another that was buttermilk--here--http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/... and while both results were delicious and so fresh, they turned out a bit too dry. i want a creamy ricotta, too! |
