dinner near theater J
I'd suggest Hank's Oyster Bar on 17th and R? Also, there is Agora which has a nice menu selection... If you wanted to go closer to 14th, you've got Estadio on 14th and Church which has a nice seafood and vegetarian selection... Also Masa 14 as well...

Sunday dinner reccomendations for clients looking to have fun
I have a group of about 20 clients who are all in the tourism industry and have seen all the 3-5 star fancy places you can think of. I wanted to something a little bit low key that would provide them with a great experience of New Orleans, great food and good times... any reccomendations? Any restaurants with great jazz?
Where to eat on Las Ramblas?
I'm staying at the Le Meridian on las ramblas and didn't know if there were any tapas places I absolutely need to check out - all suggestions are welcome!
Saturday brunch in DC
Hey, any reccs for a great Saturday brunch in DC? Willing to travel as far north as Cleveland Park and will not go across the bridge to VA.... am very hungry but very lazy...
Good downtown DC restaurant with great bourbon selection
Hi,
I'm going out with some VIPs and I was wondering if anyone had any places to suggest with great food and great bourbon...
Thanks!
Reservations at Arzak - what to expect?
I'm heading to Arzak in November when they reopen on November 26th - any reccomendations on what to order or a heads up on what to expect? Also, what is the atmosphere/dress code? Thanks!
Tackle Box In Georgetown
I went when it first opened and made the HUGE mistake of getting the grilled calamari (on reccomendation by staff by the way) - the squid was not even CLEANED OUT, still having the interior gunk clinging, and was overcooked to boot. Greasy asparagus on the side and I wound up paying over $15 for the diet coke I drank as I could not even touch the food.
New Yorker looking for quintessential DC Cheap Eats
moby dick in georgetown is a super cheap eat and not bad persian -
Unique Dining Experience for Birthday?
If you like moroccan, I'd suggest Marrakesh... I think it's great and the belly dancers are fun - also, I don't know if they do dinner, but the Morrision House in Old Town has a great piano bar...
Open Sunday Fine Dining in DC?
It's my boyfriend's birthday the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and I need a really nice place to take him for dinner that's relatively close to downtown.... he loves italian, greek, lebanese... pretty much anything... help?
Where to buy amarula
Live in downtown and looking for a place to buy amarula - any suggestions? Thanks!
Tabaq vs. Marvin for brunch
Creme has a LONG wait but it's worth it - I'd avoid the bottomless bloody mary though - it's pre-made and not worth it
What's good in the Logan Circle area?
Rice is amazing, as is Cork and Cafe St. Ex - if you wanted to trek a bit south, there is also Mio, which is right off Thomas Circle (14th street, vermont, etc) which has great Central American cuisine... on 17th and R (between Logan and Dupont) there is Hanks Oyster Bar, which has decent ceviche and a nice oyster selection -
I had the WORST experience at Stoney's - went for brunch and they would not allow any substitutions - My friend wanted a burger with cheese and the waiter said they could not do that... he had to order a burger with a SIDE of cheese and put it on top... in addition, worst greasy eggs I've ever had for breakfast. Apparently, their grilled cheese sandwiches are fantastic, so I'm assuming unless you plan to order something greasy, don't go.
any new restaurants with seafood options?
Just curious... upscale, casual, cuisine doesn't matter - just haven't heard of anything new since Art & Soul....
top client coming to visit DC - need top notch wine list with matching menu for this Tuesday...

What are the most overrated DC restaurants?
Saddly enough, I'd like to add Sushi Taro to the list. They were once amazing and now completely banal. While the quality is still somewhat there, the only thing that really knocked my socks off was the green tea ice cream at the end... maybe it was because the ice cream was good or because I knew I could leave the cold sterile decor or because of the two bottles of sake I consumed to mask the mediocre menu...
what's the deal with Todd English's Olives on 16th?
I heard they had some issues with their ovens, but it was open one day and papered up the next...
Chocolate Buffet?
Coco Sala would be your best bet - it's downtown DC and has an amazing menu... I believe that the Fairmont Hotel also offers a chocolate buffet special, but you'd have to call to ask...
Looking for the best Pho in DC
Any reccomendations? Live in downtown and would love to stay within the loop if possible...
need to impress clients with great food, drink and not too stuffy atmosphere
that would have been good to include, no? I'll be in Atlanta, staying at the Hyatt Regency and would love something that's walking or short cab distance - thanks!
need to impress clients with great food, drink and not too stuffy atmosphere
I'm taking a group of about 12 to dinner and would love something with great food, great drinks and I'd love to spend between 50 - 100 per person, drinks not included- any reccomendations?
THANK YOU!!
Arroz con Calamares in DC
check out the squid risotto at Sonoma in Eastern Market - also, Taberna Del Alabadero (Sp?) on 18th and L has the paella which is AMAZING - happy eating as this is my favorite dish too!
Please help me hammer down on these restaurants...DC
I'd also reccomend Sonoma in Eastern Market... If you prefer something a bit more ethnic and simply divine, I'd suggest Morayou (Greek) in Dupont Circle and Neyla (Lebanese) in Georgetown... the labneh at Neyla is amazing.
Looking for great restaurant with nice asthetics
Cuisine is open for discussion... we orginially were considering Cafe Ferriera and Delmos, but we hear that Delmos is closed - any suggestions from locals?
