Indianapolis tasting menus?

Recess sounds extremely interesting. Assuming that I like whatever ingredients are being used this weekend, it seems like a sure stop.
Thanks for the advice.

Indianapolis tasting menus?

Hello,

I'll be in town over the July 4th weekend and would love to try a tasting menu with wine pairings at a local restaurant.

In the past, I've eaten at Oakley Bistro and loved it. Was not impressed by Sullivan's. Of the chains, Palomino, Ruth's Chris and the Oceanaire are my favorites in Indy.

Price is really no object nor is type of food, just want something interesting and of high quality.
Thanks

Indianapolis dinners

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to get out for a good lunch or dinner, had to eat at the mall food court.
I did have breakfast one morning at Le Peep which was fairly good. The blueberry pancakes were actually very good.
I get to Indy 2 or 3 times a year. Will definitely make time for dinner at some of your recommendations next time.

Indianapolis dinners

Hello,

I will be in Indianapolis this weekend (Keystone Crossing area) and will be looking for two dinners (Friday and Saturday).
I'm open to any type of food and and price range. In the past, I have eaten at Sullivan's (not too impressed) and Oakley's Bistro (enjoyed quite a bit).
I would like to keep within about a 5-10 minute drive from my hotel (Marriott near the Keystone Fashion Mall).
Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Breakfast in Bexley (Columbus), OH

Hi,

Will be attending an event this weekend in Bexley (Columbus), OH and was hoping to have good breakfast beforehand. Really, I'm open to anything except fast food; don't mind chains for breakfast, just want more than a sandwich.

I looked at Google Maps for the area and there really doesn't seem to be much unless you take Main St. all the way out to 270. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Downtown Atlanta

Thanks for the recommendations. McCormick and Schmidt is pretty much not an option... not because of anything bad, I just live near one that I eat at fairly often.

I'll keep The Grill at Ritz Carlton and Bacchanalia in mind.

Downtown Atlanta

I'll be at the Hyatt Regency downtown for a convention Labor Day weekend and want to get a good lunch and dinner in on that Thursday.

Would really prefer to not go more than short walking distance. Price really isn't a concern either.

Would like steak and seafood but open to pretty much anything. Had been thinking Ray's in the City for a seafood lunch.

Any suggestions?

Dayton Business Dinner - opinions requested

Thanks for the advice... I am leaning toward C'est Tout at the moment... if only because, if I remember correctly, L'Auberge has a dress code and I'm not sure if my guests will be wearing jeans (travelling all day) or more business attire.
I've heard C'est Tout has a new menu... any comment on it?

Dayton Business Dinner - opinions requested

Hi,

I'm taking a couple of LA clients to dinner Tuesday evening after picking them up from the airport.... should be excellent food but a fairly casual atmosphere.

I'm considering a few places, all of which I've enjoyed in the past. Would like some other opinions. My choices are:

Rue Domaine
Wellington Grille
C'est Tout
Fleming's

Kind of steering away from Fleming's, just due to it being a chain and the most expensive of the bunch. Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

Client dinner after Red's game

Looking for suggestions for a nice restaurant for an after-game dinner near Cinergy Field for some very important clients. Something with great atmosphere, a nice view of the city and exquisite deserts.

Any suggestions?

One day in Atlanta

Thanks for all the replies. I might just switch out the Varsity (may go there for a late night snack) for the South City Kitchen or something else in midtown.

One day in Atlanta

Hi all,

I'll be in Atlanta next week, Thursday through Labor Day, but will only have Thursday available to explore and eat. Plane lands at about 0730. I'll head for my hotel, the Hyatt Regency on Peachtree, then head to the aquarium. What I need recomendations for are breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Right now, I'm thinking of just trying Paschal's at the airport for breakfast unless there is something better close to my hotel or the aquarium.

After the aquarium, I'm strongly leaning towards walking to the Varsity for lunch. Never been, sounds like great, easy lunch food.

For dinner, I'm thinking of taking Marta up to Lenox and taking a cab over to the Atlanta Fish Market. I love seafood and have a hard time finding good seafood in southern Ohio. One thing though, I will be very casual, shorts and a polo shirt; so, any restaurant with a more upscale dress-code is out of the question. Price isn't a concern, just a very light packer and will not have anything more dressy than shorts.

Any comments on the above or recommendations that are close to my locations (I will be without a car) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott
