October Girls Weekend Itinerary Help

My mother and I are spending a long weekend (Friday-Tuesday) in San Diego and I need some help and input on the food/drinking activities.

Hotel: Porto Vista Hotel, Little Italy

Friday:
I get in around noon but my mom doesn't get in 6PM so Friday I was thinking simple cocktails and dinner. Because it is kind of a travel day I was thinkin of staying close to little italy, here are some places I am thinking about:
Kettner Exchange
Waterfront Bar & Grill
Ironside Fish & Oyster

Any other places worth going for cocktails and or dinner. I am all about the idea of having a pre-dinner cocktail somewhere there going somewhere else for dinner.

Saturday: La Jolla
After some hiking I was thinking of hitting up Oscars Mexican Seafood for Lunch.
After lunch and resting/lounging at the hotel we are looking to really have a fun night out. I really want to start at the noble experiment for pre-dinner drinks, but from there I don't know what to do for dinner. We will probably be taking a cab/uber for the evening so going to a different neighborhood for dinner and night cap cocktails isn't an issue. Suggestions? Very open to all cuisines,
I just love good food. Something not super fancy but where we wouldn't stick out if we were a little dressed up strutting' in our heals. Anything from Latin to African to Italian etc.

Sunday:Brunch, Exercise & Chargers game
Sunday is a little smashed because we want to hit the charges game and the gates open around 3pm so I was thinking before that all that will be done is some yummy brunch and a little exercise. Any suggestions for a good well rounded brunch?

What about post-chargers game eats, where do ya'll grub down post sports events?

Monday:Coronado Island
Monday we want to spend sometime relaxing around Coronado island or some other beach relaxing area (suggestions?) any idea for a fresh healthy yummmy light lunch?

For dinner sushi is a MUST. My plan is Sushi Ota, thoughts?

Tuesday: Leave :(

ATTENTION: We would love to take a tour of Stone Brewery, looking at our plan, when would be the best time to try and squeeze that in?

Let me know what ya'll think!

Late Night Little Rock, AK

Hey all Hounds!!!
So I will be in Little Rock August 2nd for a fitness competition. I have been training and dieting hard for a VERY long time and after this show I get to eat WHATEVER I want. The only problem I have is that the show probably wont be done with the show until 11pm/midnight. So I need your help to on where to eat late night in Little Rock that isn't a complete grease pot/bar munchies place. It doesn't really matter where the place is I don't mind the drive, but we will be at the Marriot downtown (formerly the peabody) just so you have an idea of our starting point. THANKS!!!

Late Night Eating in Bellevue

Update, well my event didn't get over until 11:15 so Kobe was out, and I really didn't want John Howie or something like that, and I actually found a Korean BBQ place that was open until midnight! Blue Ginger Korean Grill and Sushi was nice enough to fire up the grill at 11:30PM and I got a delicious meat meal late night, check it out!

I think 13 coins is where we are going to end up, how far is that from the airport, and overall is that a good decision in regards, to variety, quality, atmosphere and ease?

Early Sunday AM Breakfast-Bellevue/Seattle Airport Area

I will be in Bellevue for the Emerald Cup the weekend of April 25th. I have Saturday to explore Seattle for all the great culinary adventures it possesses, but on Sunday my flight leaves at 10:30AM but I want to get some kind of breakfast with my family that is in the area before the flight. I am thinking that I want to be at the airport around 8:45/9:00AM any idea of where we could get some grub in Bellevue or close to the airport before our flight? I am staying in Bellevue so anywhere in the area or on the way to the airport would be great, thanks!!! Open to all kinda of food!!!!

Steak in Columbus, Ohio

I will be Columbus this weekend for the Arnold Sport Festival. I am getting one meal where I can eat more of what I want rather than what is on my current meal plan for my training. What I am looking for is a really good steak and sweet potatoes and veggies. Where is the best place to find a meal kind of like that? It's going to be dinner Saturday night, HELP! I LOVE steak!

Those weird things you eat when you are in your kitchen

I eat cold cooked tilapia all the time, sometimes with spray butter...

Raw dough or any kid rocks my socks.

cold bacon and butter sandwiches sounds fantastic. I also enjoyed sliced cheese and mayo sandwiches, cold on mushy white bread, yummy.

Those weird things you eat when you are in your kitchen

All about the vinegar shots. My BF is filipino so I am all over the vinegar train.

I am a big fan of salsa by the spoonful as well as canned cold beans (garbanzo, kidney, refried etc.) while standing with the frig door open.

Sardinia Enoteca-Nashville

The service was great. Our server was suggested to us from one of my BFs co-workers (sorry I can't remember his name) and made us feel right at home. My BF and I both work in restaurants and know the ins and outs of service. Glasses were filled promptly, plates were cleared properly, and the staff was very polite.

The burrata is made in house and I would really recommend it. It needs the accompianates because it is pure cheese, thus lacking salt or acid. But paired with Prosciutto or caponata it's perfect.

I think the lack of business comes from the higher prices and the good but not great food. I enjoyed our meal but it wasn't visit it again because the food couldn't be topped kinda food.

I say try it and see what you think, my martini was made well and the wine was also great.

Sardinia Enoteca-Nashville

So here is the result of my meal at Sardinia.

The restaurant is beautiful but it was only half full on a Saturday night. We started our meal with some Burrata which was very clean and fresh and really good. The bread basket served along with out meal was great, especially we enjoyed with the Parmesan dip it comes with.

My boyfriend and I each got one of the tasting meals, Terra and Mare. It was great being able to try so many different dishes The food was up and down. Our favorites were the Tear Drop pasta with the Lamb Ragu and the bacon wrapped scallop. The weakest dish was the rabbit, it was more like bubbe's chicken soup.

Overall the experience was very nice, I don't know if I would go back but I really enjoyed the evening. Even if the food was decent.

Sardinia Enoteca-Nashville

Made the reservation! I'll let you know how it goes!

Sardinia Enoteca-Nashville

Who has been? I am looking to possibly go there for a nice date night with the BF on a Saturday night. I needs thoughts on...
-Atmosphere?
-Causal or Upscale?
-Food, I am not a fan of the all american Italian but true Mediterranean Italian from Italy Italian, how does Sardinia rank?

Would you recommend another place? Some where a little upscale, that has more unique not run of the mill dishes.

Brunch and Sunday Night Dinner-Nashville

UPDATE: I am changing my plans for my bday. Urban grub after my shift Friday. Mad Donnas for Bloody Mary's Saturday AM (we are going skydiving Sunday AM so brunch is moved up) and Sushi (either Samuri or Ichiban) followed by ice cream on Sunday. So now I need a spot for dinner on Saturday. Here are places I am thinking:
-Whiskey Kitchen
-Tavern
-Husk
-Rolf and Daughters

Any opinions on my plan so far and where I should get dinner Satuday night? I don't have really have anything I really want I just don't want straight down home southern food. Maybe a little more unique or adventurous. Also if I should make reservations please let me know, THANKS!

Best Sushi in Nashville

I understand why there wouldn't be great sushi here, but a girl can dream right? Restaurants here are able to get fresh raw oysters daily so whats stopping sushi?

Best Sushi in Nashville

This thread makes me so sad :(

Best Sushi in Nashville

That sounds incredible!!!

Best Sushi in Nashville

I love sushi but I am more or a Nigiri/Sashimi girl and could really do without all the rolls especially all the new hip over the top ones (my one exception-spider roll, yum!). I am new to Nashville and am looking for a good just down home japanese style sushi place. I know there are places in the area that are more upscale/hipster with fusion and fun roll and cocktails and what not but what I am looking for is just a simple dining room with a sushi bar and good quality and fresh fish. Help please I need an ami ebi and sea urchin fix stat!

Brunch and Sunday Night Dinner-Nashville

Yes, the muffins and biscuits at Urban Grub are quite addicting, Tavern looks awesome, thanks!
