Babbo alone?

Thanks, everyone. I'll probably cancel my reservation and sit at the bar.

Babbo alone?

I have dinner reservations next week for Bappo at 6:00. My colleague is no longer traveling with me. Is it a good place to dine alone, or should I cancel the reservation?

Philly foodie in Chicago for 4 nights. 2 or 3 dinners and maybe some lunches or breakfasts open...

Perhaps North Pond, Bonsoiree or Sepia would fit the bill. Maestros for steaks. Sunda for Asian. The Publican could be an option as well.

Wrigleyville restaurants

Angelina Ristorante on N. Broadway or Sapori Trattoria for Italian. Wilde on N. Broadway has good, upscale bar food and a nice atmosphere. Cafe 28 on W. Irving Park for Cuban. Cullen's on Southport also has good bar food. Lachett's Inn on W. Irving Park for German.

Need recs for rehearsal dinner downtown

Also, we got a really good deal on a room block at The James and the minumum was not outrageous. You'll hit it easily with the number you suggested above.

Need recs for rehearsal dinner downtown

I had my wedding and reception last year at The James. I think they did a fabulous job. It was elegant and hassle free.

Visiting from Philly need recs

Most bars in the city will be showing the game. Close to River North, I'd recommend Brehon Pub, O'Callaghans or Green Door Tavern. Go Flyers!

In-Home Cooking Class

Does anyone have a recommendation for an in-home cooking class in the city? I'm thinking about giving one to my husband for Father's Day.

Dining near Art Institute/Orchestra Hall?

You could also check out Aria for dinner near the Art Institute/CSO. My friends are CSO ticket holders and go before every show. The food is great and they are very accommodating. It's in the Fairmont Hotel.

Need help with a Chicago sushi pick....

I live near Coast and go there all the time...or get take out. It's my favorite sushi spot in the city. It has a good menu. Lots of unique items (love the volcano and sunrise rolls + the white tuna jalapeno. It's BYOB so that's also a bonus. Probably a good idea to make a reservation (especially on weekends). I find Mirai's menu very limited. It is nice in the summer when you can sit outside.

Would appreciate critique and suggestions on itinerary (bit long)

This sounds good. I haven't been to Hot Dougs in a while, but it has never disappointed. I'd get to Hot Dougs early Friday so you can get to Wrigley and enjoy the pre-game experience. Getting a cab afterward might be difficult. The CTA has a trip planner for bus/El routes. The Web site is: www.yourcta.com.

Chicago's Chinatown is nothing like NYC. I think you'd be better off visiting Bucktown, which has some unique shops and restaurants.

Nothing Too Fancy - Business Dinner

La Scarola (Italian) may be a good bet.

Sweet 16 Trip w/Mom & Dad

The Gage has a great lunch. It's on Michigan Ave. near the Art Institute (which would make another great Ferris stop). Gibson's is a better bet for steak. Or try Chicago Chop House or Gene & Georgettiis. Both have a great Chicago feel.

Chicago weekend!

Hot Doug's is great and best to go on a Thursday or Friday. Saturdays are really packed and it's closed Sundays.

Avec is also a great idea. Very unique space. Blackbird is also open for lunch, so that may be a good option for Friday.

For Friday dinner, Spring would be good. But look into Sola and Chalkboard near Lincoln Square.

I think Feast has opened up an outlet downtown and it's always a solid brunch or you can try Frontera Grill for brunch.

Looking for dives..

Chicago has a lot of neighborhood bars. Not all are "dives." Check out the Charleston in Bucktown at 2076 N. Hoyne (cash only). If you like sushi, there's a great place within walking distance that's BYOB called Coast. Makes for a nice, inexpensive evening. And the Charleston often has great jazz or blues. Another local dinner option is Cafe Laguardia (Cuban).

3 Girls in Chicago!!

I'd suggest heading to one of the neighborhoods, maybe Bucktown (The Bristol) or Lincoln Square area (Sola, Chalkboard, Tullulah). If you want Table 52, you need to call 30 days in advance to get a reservation.

We are looking for a fun atmosphere. One of the nights we will celebtate a birthday. We love Asian, French, neuvo-American. Probably under $200 for budget with alcohol. I've considered Allen and Delancy and Freemans.
