me and my gf just went to montreal and had a fantastic time. we loved it. the main thing nyc has the montreal does not is excellent chinese food. i reccomend chinatown, specifically great ny noodletown and the restaurant at 22 elizabeth. get the lobsters with xo sauce, half fried chicken with garlic sauce...

thanks alot for the response, yes i am from nyc and i realize montreal is not known for great chinese food, but I love chinese food so much its hard for me to go a few days without it. I have eaten at Beijing restaurant and I think there are some things on the menu I like.

I know salt and pepper squid is associated with cantonese food but I see that its on Shanghai Cafes menu and I am going there tmrw for dinner with a group and have a hankering for it. I bet its pretty good...right?
