oh my gosh, what great ideas! And I thought we southerners were the friendly ones...I needed some pretty close places to send my kids out to, etc. I do plan to walk around a lot to see the city. I'll go slow but it will be fantastic. So, if there are any other suggestions, I'd love them. David, definitely plan to go to St. Patrick's. I could use some prayers. God Bless all of you.

First post so I hope I am doing this correctly. I live in NC. My family will take our first trip to NY from April 9-14. We have been given a wonderful gift of staying at the Waldorf Tower. We will not be able to eat there at all due to $$. My husband has recently been laid off. I also am a cancer survivor and need something pretty close due to walking difficulties (meaning around 5 blocks). I am looking for meals under $10.00. We love all types of food; however, my college age kids, of course, like sandwiches and burgers. Also, we'll need to get cokes and snacks nearby. I'd really appreciate your help.
