Which Dutch Oven

I have also been looking into this. I found this thread helpful http://ask.metafilter.com/40272/Which... Based on those recommendations, for the price I am considering a Chasseur brand.

Crepe Pan

I got several sizes of inexpensive steel crepe pans from FinerKitchens and really like them. I can make large dinner-sized crepes or smaller dessert sized ones. I couldn't resist the smallest size, so cute and perfect for making blintzes. They all nest so they're easy to store, too.

Where do you buy your Mexican groceries in Canada?

It's because it's a very much Canada-centered question - I only want online stores located in Canada.

Where do you buy your Mexican groceries in Canada?

Locally, or online?

Online source for Mexican groceries....

such as masa harina, chipotles in adobo, corn tortillas, etc. I've been looking for a Canada-based online ethnic grocery store for a while now, to no avail. TIA.

Edited to add: Since my post was moved from the Canada forum I'd like to reiterate that I really need a Canada-based store and not one in the US that ships to Canada. Thanks again!

Reusing oil used for deep frying! I used to just throw it out. Then I read a tip on keeping the oil in a large plastic jug. Separate the oils by what you've fried - potatos, chicken, fish, and keep them in the refrigerator (your second refrigerator I guess, because they take up a lot of room). Now when want to make my favorite fish tacos I just go downstairs and get the jug of oil marked "fish" and use that. Once the oil has cooled, I put a funnel into the top of the plastic jug and a coffee filter in the funnel. I pour the used oil into the coffee filter and it filters out the crumbs and things.

budget restaurants in Scottsdale and near Sky Harbor

Just east of Sky Harbor there is a fantastic, low-cost Mexican restaurant called "La Fonda". From Sky Harbor take the 202 east to Scottsdale Road and turn North (left). La Fonda is at 1126 N Scottsdale Rd, just north of the intersection with Curry Road. The salsa, chips, chile rellenos, enchiladas are all fantastic. This is authentic Mexican cuisine in an authentic setting, not gringo or touristy in its cuisine or decor.

Here's a map and review:
