Tiffani,
I was thinking about taking classes at the Lebanese Taverna. The cost per person is a little less at $60 per person. You can register online, which is handy and the classes last from 6:45pm to 9:30pm. I've heard great things.

Restaurant near Huntingtown

I'm looking for a restaurant to take my Mother on her birthday.
Sunday evening, party of 8 or so.
She lives in Huntingtown, MD along Rt. 4.
Does anyone have an idea of where we can go?
Not interested in Shoney's, Outback, etc.
Thanks!

Crab cakes in the DC area

How about DC Coast in DC? I thought their crabcakes were good.

That's It! This has got to stop.

I'd like to think that I'm not part of the problem and more part of the solution but perhaps not this time, not for this particular place. I have only been to Le Paradou once in Decemeber 2007 to celebrate my 4 year Wedding Anniversary and haven't returned, but it wasn't beacuse we didn't enjoy our dinner, because we certainly did. We thought it was supperb! Perhaps diners more often than not go to fine dining establishments like Le Paradou mostly on special occasions and want to try a new place each time.
Chef, Yannick Cam said that "Business dropped 30 percent" from last year...the landlord didn't want to renegotiate" on more favorable terms and "it's hard to find staff" familiar with the demands of such a restaurant.

Chef Cam says that he's already thinking about opening a more casual French restaurant, much more informal than Le Paradou. Possible locations he says could be McLean and the Palisades neighborhood in Northwest Washington.

Passover in DC area

Hi, I'm looking for restaurants in the DC area (MD, DC, VA) that are serving special Passover meals.
I am aware of Dino, Hudson, Rosa Mexicano, and some Ledo pizza places.
I've heard that Buzz bakery is also offering some special desserts.

Does anyone know of anywhere else?

DC: Good food with baby in tow

How about Zorba's Cafe? They are located on the North Side of Dupont Circle. Right by the metro. Their dining room is large, it's great authentic inexpensive Greek food and they have an outside patio. You order at a "counter" and sit down. Babies wouldn't be a problem.

Also in Dupont is Kramers books Cafe. Have you heard of it? Cute little book store with a Cafe inside. They also have an outside patio.
