Quick takeout lunch at Yonge-Bloor
I worked @ Y&B for 2 years and loved the choices there. I did not have a big budget for lunch but was looking for food big on flavour. Among my favourites were: Ginger on Yonge (Vietnamese), Biryani House on Hayden, The Holt Renfrew Cafe, There is a Thai place in the food court@ The bay as well which is quite good. The Bay at 2 Bloor has a cafe on the 5th Floor which has a lot of choice and of course Fit For Life at the food court @ cumberland.
Lunch ideas at Roncasvalles village?
Starting a new assignment in the heart of Little Poland soon, Any ideas for affordable lunch during weekdays? Any suggestions on what I could try in Polish cuisine;)...never tried that before!!
Tasty lunch spots near Eaton Centre...willing to walk.
Salad King is great...quick affordable food that is healthy and tasty. I also like the Italian place at Toronto LIfe food court.
Best butter chicken in the Toronto area
I would vote for Tamarind at downtown core....their butter chicken is a real treat.....great deal with rice and salad at 5.99.. I love the fact that it is on the subway line so I don't have to go all the way to Little India. It's my go to place for Saturday Lunch.
King and Bay lunch rec's?
I would suggest Tamarind Indian Kitchen at Brookfield Place. They have great indian food especially chicken tikka and some great deals from time to time. Also like the Thai Express Pad Thai at Scotia Plaza.
Help with prix fixe downtown
I would suggest the Richtree Marche at Brookfield place...lots of choice and great European feel!
Best Vietnamese food in Toronto?
Not too much onf an expert on Vietnamese cuisine but I love the food in Ginger on Yonge St - south of Yonge and Bloor. Great pho and great food...at great prices. Its always packed during lunch hours.
Great Indian Food in Toronto's PATH!
Tried the Indian Biryani House recently with my co worker. The Chicken Biryani was good although the Vegetarian Thali was a big mess. The vegetables were without flavour and the potatoes were almost raw. There was a lot of variety however no flavour in any vegetable. So I do not recommend all the choices there.
Shawarmas in Toronto
Suggest Anoush: It's at the food court in Cumberland Terrace (yonge and bloor) or Falafel House also at Yonge and Bloor.
lunch suggestions that will make my "staycation" more like a vacation...
Richtree Market at Brookfield Place has a great European Flavour!! And with all the tourists around you can almost forget you are in TO!!
Toronto food tour! Looking for itinerary
I would recommend Bhamiyan Kebab for some great afghani fare. Its close to Thorncliffe park and Overlea Blvd.
Toronto-Vegetarian/vegan and family friendly restaurants
You could try Udupi on Gerrard st. East - its vegetarian and has a great variety. It also has a kid friendly menu with some fusion items and closer to the downtown where you are staying. There are other options too on Gerrard st ( veg and non veg).
