Daniel Strategy?

Daniel is absolutely delightful and worth every penny. EMP and Per Se are also exquisite, but I was immensely impressed with Daniel- the service was impecable. With $200 I would go ahead and do the 3 course tasting and just be aware that you will be spending quite a lot more. Enjoy!

Son's 30th Birthday Party

I plan a lot of birthday dinners so would be happy to help, but can you narrow it down a little?

Saturday brunch suggestions?

Go to Arte Cafe on the Upper West Side- it has excellent ambiance and also unlimited mimosas!

Best hot chocolate in the city?

Absolutely hands down City Bakery! I love it and constantly go out of my way to have it. Also, try Cafe Habana in Noho- they have an awesome spicy hot chocolate...

Private dining in wine cellar for 15-18 people?

It is not below 23rd street, but 21 Club has an incredible wine cellar- I think it would be exactly what you're looking for......

Where is the Best Rice Pudding?

Absolutely Rice to Riches- it is INCREDIBLE!

Anyone tried DBGB Kitchen & Bar yet?

I definitley recommend DBGB because of both the atmosphere and food. The marrow and sausage are absolutely delectable and I also enjoyed the service. Sifton also reviewed it on Wednesday, so check that out.

Please help with a LES food/drink hopping date tonight

I would suggest Kuma Inn, Inoteca, Allen and Delacey, Sorella and definitely The Back Room for drinks- that is a must!

Falafel

MAMOUN'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!

perry street?

I went to Perry Street last week and was really impressed with the food. The calamari and short ribs were really good. The calamari came with an awesome bowl of sauce that had incredible texture. Also, I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and hudson river location. Definitely check it out!

Il Cantinori

I love Il Cantinori and it is my, "go to" restaurant. The food is just as godd as ever and I especially like the liver. I did however, see a post on eater today which discussed how it has become mediocre.

I'm still a fan.

Chicago foodie visit - need lineup help

I love your choices or Daniel, EMP, and Jean Goerges and also happy to hear that you're going to skip Per se- I was not impressed considering the price point.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned Gramercy Tavern as I find it to be one of NY's best restaurants. I wouldn't miss it. Gotham and The Modern are also delicous but not as good as GT in my opinion.

Due to the fact that Daniel, EMP and JG are all quite similar in their "feel" I would also consider some of NY's greatest places that are hidden gems and have a very cozy atmosphere such as: Degustation, Momo Fuku Ssam, and Dell Anima. These will enable you to see another side of the NY dining.

Have an incredible foodie trip in NY!

Bagels in the east village?

Absolutely Ess-a- bagel!! It's on 1st ave and 21st. Delicious.

NYC Italian

Definitely go to Il Cantinori because it is absolutely FABULOUS!!! See below:

Bachelor party dinner - Peter Luger or Plataforma?

For a big group of guys I would say Luger's hands down. Between the rustic feel, adventure to Brooklyn, and the portion size, I'd say that you will be thrilled with Luger's. This is "the man" joint and it will be a fabulous experience for all of you.

Enjoy your meal and head back to Manhattan for the party because we all know it will still be going on! :)

Great Cheap Eats for Weekend in Manhattan

Kuma Inn in the LES is good and then you definitely need to go to Mamoun's!! It is near Washington Square Park and it is delicious:)

Lunch in The West Village

Extra Virgin, Tartine, Morandi are all good.

Restaurants for elderly NYC visitors

Eleven Madison Park, Gramercy Tavern, Jean Georges to name a few..........

Asia de Cuba--go or avoid?

I concur- too many other good options so don't waste your time with Asia de Cuba. Drinks are fun but venture out for din.

In your direct vicinity you have Country, Tabla, Eleven Madison Park, Pranna (ok),

But if you really want to eat, I prefer the restaurants downtown. Have fun and welcome!

Narrow down my affordable ambiance dinner destination list?

Definitely go to Boqueria and Tiapol.

Also go to Blue Ribbon Bakery.............

Tribeca suggestions....

Bubby's for brunch
Macao Trading Company for din
Bouley is awesome but may be too pricey
Pepolino
Landmarc

Visit to NYC

Welcome to NY! Definitely check out Il Cantinori- such quality for a good price!

Where Would You Eat After 2 AM In Manhattan?

Go to L'Express! I love that place when it's late..............onion soup is amazing.

Narrow down my affordable ambiance dinner destination list?

Please take my advice and go to La Sirene- you will loooove it! Also, BYOB.

Babbo or USC or ??? for 10 year anniversary

I would also try Giorgio's of Gramercy.....I think this would be a nice place to celebrate an anniversary.

Have fun!

BEST BURGER ON THE UES?

I would go with J.G. Melon or Jackson Hole surprisingly! I know Jackson Hole seems like a bit of a dive, but the burgers are remarkable!

Eleven Madison or Degustation--please help me decide.

Eleven Madison Park and Degustation are two very different spots but I would absolutely go with Degustation- what an experience! Eleven Madison Park is refined, large, and feels very "proper". Degustation, on the other hand, is cozy, intimate, and the ingredients are very fresh and inovative. You are eating lunch at spots similar to Elevan Madison Park, so indulge in Degustation for din! Enjoy..

Here's what I like. Can you suggest others?

You will loooove La Sirene!
