Il Vagabondo or John's on 12th? So, I (again) looked at the places that were suggested. And I could really use some help here. Four restaurants that stand out to me are the following. But, it's impossible to decide which is best without some input. Looking for great food, good value and some ambiance. Thanks! John's on 12th ----- |

Il Vagabondo or John's on 12th? We did go to Il Vagabondo a couple of years ago and loved it. The only thing was they rushed us out so quickly. So, we hung around and play bocci ball. We'd like to know if there is another place with that same kind of vibe. I didn't realize that you could pull my post from 2 years ago. Here were the reccos. Any place you would like to add? NYC next Sunday - Loved Il Vagabondo last time - Want same kind of experience We will be spending the day/night in the city on a budget. On our last trip, we had dinner at Il Vagabondo and loved it. After dinner we played bocci ball and had a blast. Looking for another red gravy Italian. Not interested in trendy expensive spots. Just great food in a casual atmosphere. Great people watching would be a bonus! Has anyone heard of Sauce? Any reccos? |

Looking for "neighborhoody" old-fashioned Italian restaurant When I say "old fashioned" I mean that I wanted to find a little quaint neighborhoody place, with great inexpensive traditional Italian food like your grandmother used to make. Thanks for the recco. Any other suggestions? |

I was going to go to Falai for my one night in NY in August. But, since reading this board I am now thinking I should go to Babbo. Is one better than the other? Also, I wanted to check out the Spotted Pig. Would that be a fun place for lunch? I was also thinking of going to Ssam Bar for lunch. I would love to hear your opinions. Thanks in advance! |

Thank you. I will search for your post on Falai. Has anyone been to the Spotted Pig? |

I have one night in NYC to celebrate my 50th. I prefer small funky restaurants with great food. Love people watching and a fun atmosphere. I was thinking Spotted Pig or Falai. Maybe I should do Spotted Pig for lunch and Falai for dinner? What do you think? |

NYC needs help for dinner in DelCo., Main Line area I also think Belrose is a great option. They have a private room and a semi-private room. In addition, Bistro Cassis has an area in the back of the dining room that is semi-private. A beautiful new BYOB in Berwyn is bistro M. But, no private room. Fleming's is great. But, very expensive. Alba in Malvern is also a wonderful BYOB. But, no private room. Good luck!! |

I have been to George's on several occassions. I've never eaten in the dining room. But, the bar area is really nice. I've had burgers, pizzas, pasta, salads and I have almost always had an enjoyable meal. One time over Christmas my burger took about 45 minutes and was under-cooked. But, other than that, it's been great. I think it's a fun place to meet for a casual meal! |

Casual Eats in/near Downtown West Chester Coyote Crossing in West Chester has a beautiful new rooftop deck. I was there last Friday night. The food was great and there was a nice looking crowd. |
