Brew pub to open in Manasquan? The link that hits up The Coast Star article is right on the money. As far as MH, a source tells me the name and concept of the restaurant will change, but not the owner or chef. |

Meaning you could have bar menu in dining room? Vice versa? Or both? |
|

Eh. What geographic areas are you considering? 'Cause if you're staying in Keyport, I'd say they're def not the best at all. And if you're expanding to a larger area, there are far better fries around. |

Agreed. There is far better food at the Fishery or one of the better restaurants in town. The crowd is... "older," shall we say? Lots of early birds. Food is mediocre, nothing to be said about the ambiance. Basically just a really old building (like most are in town) that still happens to serve food. I'd much rather grab a fresh sandwich from the Fishery and eat overlooking the bay. |

Which Salt Creek were you at? |

Philly Soft Pretzels In Mercer County NJ I'm def a pretzel freak. I like this chain, but have to say that the pretzels from the shops that actually IN Philly are much, much better. Go figure! But its nice to have a little piece of the city close by. Pretzel roles are a fave, btw. |

Should I have said "the site is actually informative" now? Their old (?) site was pretty basic, at least this one is updated and provides information. Sorry about terminology. |

Downtown Toms River Dine Around Hmm, interesting. I can't try the TRCC, considering I'm not a member, but have heard some pretty good things. Have you been able to try it? |

It would appear the site is launched: www.trinitykeyport.com |

Mug & Muffin Bordentown NJ Farnsworth Ave Isn't there a M&M in Hamilton, or somewhere on Route 33 in Mercer County? |
|

I guess Dani0622 will find out. |

Downtown Toms River Dine Around Btw, which one of these chefs is the one at the Toms River Country Club now? Anyone know? I heard it was the chef from Bistro, but could be incorrect. |

Downtown Toms River Dine Around Yes, this is just about as good as it gets in Downtown TR, as far as good goes. Great little tour, too. |

I've been dying to go here. Can you do dinner @ the bar? Prices for actual dinner seem a bit over the top, but if the quality is worth it, I'm OK with that. The bar menu looks mighty tasty. |

Princeton NJ Booster Juice Closed I've heard it's still papered up. None of the signage has come down yet. |

Looking for 30th birthday brunch ideas down the Jersey Shore. I've heard excellent things about Burke, but I think it's a bit pricey, from what I remember being told. Never been, though. Agree about Langosta. Not sure the brunch food is to be raved about, though. Prices, however, are not bad, and the view is stellar. I would Charley's Ocean Grill, in Long Branch, is another great option. The view is beautiful, they have at least two floors and lots of space. Food and drinks are very good. Or you could always try Berkeley Fish & Seafood Market in Seaside, right before the entrance to Island Beach State Park. The view is, again, great, as it's right near the park and you can see both the ocean and the bay. Parking is sometimes a pain, but the food is solid (fresh, to say the least). |

Ah, summers in TR. Good times. While I personally am not a fan of Shogun Bea Lea, their hibachi is not bad; sushi, eh. Not my favorite. There are only a handful of sushi places that I'll hit up in TR, will try and put a formal list together. Been meaning to. I'm not sure there are any Korean places in Ocean County, even. If there are, I'd like to know. As far as Mexican goes: It's not "gourmet," but Surf Taco is solid, tasty food. There should be a few locations by you: www.surftaco.com. Honestly, some of the better eateries are over the bridge (to Seaside, that is). You'll have your typical fish places (Berkeley Fish Market, right before park entrance, was excellent last year, haven't been yet this year), a few decent cafes, lots of ice cream places. Heading into Pt. Pleasant isn't a bad idea, either. And just a random dessert bite: Rich's Ice Cream and its second, hard ice cream place are fabulous. |

Red Lion Diner in Southampton NJ? Since Olga's is currently for sale (big shocker), I would honestly recommend looking for another diner in the area. Not that Olga's was great (mostly a tradition), but The Red Lion isn't all that hot, either. I've stopped many a time before heading into/out of Philadelphia. They were never as crowded as Olga's, at least during my experiences. But, the food was what I deemed solid diner food: certainly not fantastic, nothing to write home about, but a fun trip and filling (to say the least). |

Lakewood Blue Claws stadium food I don't remember there being pizza, but I could be wrong. I do remember burgers, chicken strips, fries, hot dogs and pretzels. I actually worked back in the kitchen once, and it's really not that bad. Fryers to the max, naturally, but clean. As far as beer, all I remember is Miller or Bud Light on tap. |

New crab cake place in Forked River Hmm. I'm always a skeptic until the food meets mouth. April or May sounds good to be, I'll have to make it a point and stop. |

New crab cake place in Forked River Anyone hear about the new crab cake place that should hit Forked River soon? It's being built in a shopping plaza on the corner of Route 9 and Lacey Road, where an old bank used to be. I wonder if they'll keep the drive-through window. Fish in FR isn't necessarily awful, but I'm curious as to why crab cakes would be targeted specifically. There are many restaurants in the area that are "known" for their crab cakes (not that I would agree), and several fish markets have been opened and closed during the past couple of years. It should be an interesting venture, to say the least. |
