It's my friends birthday in a couple of weeks and she had a request: The best sashimi possible.

I'd normally take someone to KZO or wherever for an event, but sashimi and sashimi only is what the birthday girl is requesting...

Any recs that are not Ursawa and preferably on the west side?

I need help. I'm trying to plan a brunch for about 8 people on Sunday for a friends birthday. We're doing yoga in the morning in Santa Monica, then spa stuff in Beverly Hills, so I need somewhere that accommodate the following.

1) Less than $25 a head for food
2) takes reservations
3) slightly green/hippie vibe, or at the very least casual.

Ideas?

I talked to LOVE on Sunday, and as for local produce, they have the same providers as Spud (formerly Organic Express)does, so either of those might be a good option. I'm going to try LOVE next week.
